    My Trip Report

The Peter Paul & Mary song Leaving on a Jet Plane is stuck in my head...I am going home tonight to do my laundry and pack, I went shopping for last minute toiletries and I am ready to roll. YEP Sammi is heading for Las Vegas and look out. I may not be as forcefull as the Hurricane but it has been almost two years since I have been away and I am ready to party. So far I have the Voodoo Cafe set up for Sunday night, Emirl's New Orleans Fish House (where I am doing a tasting menu with the wine) on Monday and when my friends arrive on Wednesday we are going to see Las Vegas through some Virgin Eyes...

Thanks for all the great advice yet again everyone. I will be stop by tomorrow before I take off Saturday morning! Wish me good fortune! :D

    Sammi!

I thought you were already gone! Hmmmm...just a couple more days of anticipation. Hope you can handle it without going nuts. Two years is a very long time to go with no Vegas.

Say hello to The King for me. Be careful. I haven't fed him in awhile, so he's probably hungry.

Enjoy the tasting menu at Emeril's. I've made a request to change their dessert selection for the banana creme pie in the past without any problems. The banana creme pie is amazing and much better than their selection.

Thank you for the the idea of switching the dessert...Truthfully I hate Bananas but if I see something else that I might like better than their selection I might request it. Mikey the anticipation is killing me along with Jenna having a chest infection and me having a damn cold...will this trip ever get here???

I know I'm telling on myself here, but I've got 5 different versions of that song, and I make sure that I listen to them all the night before while packing. It's one of my Vegas traditions.

For those that are interested, here's who sings them and the order that I like them:
    1. Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (They also do a great cover of "Somewhere over the Rainbow")
    2. John Denver
    3. Frank Sinatra
    4. Chantal Kreviazuk
    5. Peter, Paul and Mary
    Have fun smarra! [IMG]

Hi everyone...It might be a few days before I get to the report. I just got back to work and found out that my office is closing, that after 6 years I will be out of a job soon. What a wonderful way to come back from vacation. As soon as I get to writing it I will but sorry for any delay.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that. Bummer to have so much fun and then come back to work only to find out that there won't be any work and just before the holidays too.

Coaster - I also love the rendition of Over the Rainbow by IZ.

Damn, that's a crappy welcome home present. Take your time smarra on the trip report. There's more important things... but we will hold you to a report ;)

Hmm, come to think of it, I'm still a few reports behind... um pay not attention to that man behind the curtain :D
