Leap Day Weekend (2/28 - 3/2)

Check into The STRAT , I got a great deal at $14 a night on Hotwire via their "Hot Deals" (I've shared this tip before but I'll share it again, I like to match the Expedia rating count found under the hotel name the standard hotel with the "Hot Deals" and almost 99.9% of the time it ends up being the hotel that matches, see example below as you can see its even $14 if I were to book today (before resort fees of course but can't beat this trick and deal. Im pretty sure I'm not reinventing the wheel here but some might not know and its a neat tip). so this was a cool $40 a night savings and is still less than booking direct at The Strat hotel website. Since I don't have a players card there I'm not to concerned with not earning points or comps or what not. But I do plan to try the $20 trick and see if they will get me a better room. Did I mention that the Hotwire trick below is a "hotel chooses bed type" option lol. I'm never concerned with hotel rooms anyways I'm hardly ever in it other than to SHIT SHOWER AND SHAVE oh and sleep and other extracurricular activities



Anywho back to my agenda...

We dont have plans for Friday night might just roam The Strat have a few drinks and gamble some or maybe go out to a bar/club, we'll see how we feel. I'm hoping we can go up to the skydeck and be ridiculously cold with cocktails up there.

2/29 LEAP DAY we packed a whole bunch of stuff:

- Going to try to use the Monorail (MyVegas BOGO reward)
- I got 1 night at Luxor for my and my boyfriend for a little privacy so go check in first.
- Head to Mandalay Bay to have brunch at Fleur (My Vegas BOGO reward)
- Shark Reef (MyVegas 2 free tickets reward)
- Go grab some Gelato at Bellagio (My Vegas BOGO Reward)
- Head to NYNY $50 Drink Credit at NYNY (MyVegas Reward)
- Attend Mariah Carey's The Butterfly Returns residency at Caesar's (1/2 priced tickets at Travelzoo.com)
- VMB Leap Day Meet and Greet planned at Cromwell but not sure if its still going to happen since the organizer had to cancel. We will play it by ear.
- Should the VMB Meet & Greet not come to fruition, I have 2 for 1 drink My Vegas Rewards at Park MGM and Mirage I can go drown my sorrows with.

(Can you tell I love my MyVegas Rewards (shoot thats what they're for right?))

I also have 2 COMP entry to On The Record and 2 Free Drinks there at Park MGM but we'll see how we feel about going there.

3/1 Can you believe its March already:

- Check out of Luxor head back to Strat
- Attend the WingFest at Hofbrauhaus ($5 discount tickets at Goldstar.com) Were not beer drinkers much so the DD $5 works for us!
- Head to Fremont after we sampled wings.
- Redeem Binions Rewards. As silly as it sounds I want a Binions Mug and Polo Shirt so it's my goal to get one and use whatever I have left maybe for well cocktails or BBQ at Brew's.
- Zummanity (MyVegas free comp entry x 2 reward, bought them back in December and January)
- If were up for it and if time permits we will check out the Neon Museum

3/2 recovery mode:
I paid for an extra day of hotel (check out 3/3) but we're leaving tonight at 6pm back to EP with a 945pm arrival. Rather than roam the streets past 11am check out we plan to just stay in bed and maybe gamble and go eat of course.

I will be gambling in between each aforementioned list of events. I am a very low roller like $100 a day bank roll. My bf is the same and my bff isn't a gambler at all.

For now I'm writing this intro at work (off at 5PM). I need to pack, take the famous pet pics, take the pets to their dogsitters house and head to dinner and the airport.

Sounds like my kind of low rolling trip! I am currently working on planning out my trip using MyVegas rewards, Binions comp ($100 steakhouse - don't need more "stuff"), WYNN 2 free buffets, plus coupons from LVA and ACG. I also am adding in the comps I get from the casinos for my gambling . I'm excited to follow along and see how it all works for you. Have fun and good luck!

 

Looks like my Binions is going to have to wait! They were hacked and I've read people aren't able to redeem -_- oh well maybe next trip. Thanks for the luck!

 

That's a bummer. Are the slot machines working yet? I read about it on here, but I can't find a thing on the internet. You would think that would be bigger news!

 

I would suggest since low roller to combine you and your bf bankroll and play at either a CET or Mlife location per day. This means 200$ will go through one players card instead of two players cards at 100$ increasing chance of future comps.
