Last Weekend 7-24 to 7-27

Make that July still very tired

Just returned from 3 days at IP, Fri thru Monday.

Vegas was slow. I've never seen it so dead in July.

$5 dollar tables everywhere I went, except Caesar's palace. ($10)

Casino Royale
and O'Shea's $3 and $5.

The strip wasn't crowded with a non stop flow of tourists walking by.

Off Strip I went to: Arizona Charlie's Boulder, the East Side Cannery, Joker's Wild, The El Dorado, the Klondike Sunset, the M Resort
, the Rainbow Club, and Ellis Island.

Down town The El Cortez. They had two deck $3 BlackJack, but $5 craps. Go figure?

Our room at the IP costed $45 bucks a night Fri and Saturday, and $15 on Sunday.

Even without a deal you can get rooms during the week there for $20.

Of course everywhere they are charging more for the week ends, which is a bad move because they aren't setting any records. If they were smart they would scour their data bases and send complimentary rooms out to anyone they had in there.

Folks are going to spend money gambling if they are there.

They took the Craps Table out of the El Dorado. I was shocked. That sucks!

Cost cutting measures are stupid if they drive away your loyal customer base.

Ellis Island no longer has the three dollar tables, now they're $5 except from 4 am to 10 am.

They changed the nickle VP to $50 cents a pull, but it doesn't say that anywhere on the machine.

The progressives were higher(Ellis Island), but you don't hit as often because your money is gone before you know it.

Drag

OK I still won, but it wasn't as fun.

My wife hit the progressive with 4 deuces and a kicker but she only put in 5 nickles, the sixth(click) button adds 5 more for a total of $50 cents, instead of a quarter.

They way they had it was very sneaky.

But if you hit max coins like you always had before it automatically put you in for $50 cents.

On a nickle machine that's a crock.

My point is no one was playing that bank of progressive nickle VP, DDB 12 machines and normally they are packed on a weekend and you can't get a seat.

They still had the 9/6 JOB but they weren't hitting at all.

OK revenue's down so lets jack up the minimums. Stooopid!

Any questions just post em here
