Oh the anticipation, those late flights can make you so anxious. Always better to be early to the airport though. Which airline are you flying?

Haha, same here. I'm trying to convince the wife that it's ok if I find a cheap last minute flight to vegas for a quick weekend, that's it's totally fine, and she won't notice I'm gone. She's not going for it...yet.

[IMG] Everything went smooth: maybe a little too smooth. I have arrived 4 hours ahead of schedule. Flying West jet and the organization through American airline departures appeared to be much smoother than through Canadian. I would pull up for immediate drinks at the airport bar but it's A) crowded as hell B) If I start drinking airport beers now it's going to be expensive AND messy. Thanks to all contributing to this. For those who care I work a military job which affords me so much annual leave per year: this is my last 5 days off of the fiscal year. I wish you could all escape like this too but I understand that people do have lives: I'm not sure why I'm fighting so hard to not acquire one of those. I will do my best to keep this updated as we go along. I picked up 200mb of US data and unlimited texts through Fido: here's to really hoping that the resort fee at Ballys really does include wifi. I will update once I'm there unless something interesting comes up beforehand. Nice hearing from you all.

[IMG] finally made it. Flight was delayed for an hour. Funny to hear the complaints when the pilot tell the passengers that we need to "de-ice". Do you know what happens when the leading edge of the foil loses its shape because of ice build up ... We become a brick!

Showtime was a touch unlucky... Longer than normal wait at the airport and last to be dropped off. When it was just me and him and I tipped him 5 bucks he turned into mister friendly. When are you going to learn Jim: tip at the BEGINNING of the ride....

Helped an elderly Asian lady off the bus to help my Karma out (could be because it's the right thing to do) lol

[IMG] 1 am here is like 4 am back home: why don't I picture bed happening. Carpet is the only thing that is not so great about this room... So what if my view is of the parking garage?? Perhaps the water pressure is a little low but the rest of the room is nice: the bathroom is actually huge for the price

[IMG] gambling strategy... So I'm not swimming in it like a lot of others I see here but once you make a certain amount it's all the same anyway right?? Taking 100 down to see how slots go for an opening late night adventure. I divided my gambling cash into three bags: 350 for Wed, 420 for thurs and 490 for Fri. I'm going to keep track of how much I win (if any... Gulp) on the goal amount, put ten percent in the Looty bag and go through it again with the rest. Whatever goes in the Looty bag is either coming home with me or going into one kick ass dinner on Fri night... Depends how much it is ... Ideas?

I would like to discuss the above strategy... It was working like a charm while I was sober. I pretty much blew yesterday's wad and most of today's in the last two hours: Sigh!!! Nap time sports books and beers today I guess

Are you going to make some small sports bets while watching some games? That can make it more fun and exciting. Not sure if Roulette appeals to you but I've also spent hours at Bellagio playing on the low limit Roulette machines. They have a few banks of them and the min bet is $1. Broke even on them last trip and we played them a lot and had a ton of drinks. If you are interested here is a picture of the machine.

My Wife stuck to betting $1 per spin, she isn't much of a gambler but she enjoys the free drinks. I bet anywhere from $1 - $25 per spin.
It can be good entertainment if you are low rolling and not wanting to spend a lot. We stuck to the 1:1 bets red black even odd etc. A little bit can go a long ways but it's not for everyone.

Haha, funny! I had a couple drinks during lunch, I'll say they were to you turning your luck around!

Ok... 2 and a half hours sleep and I should be right as rain! I had one good hit last night/this morning on slots [IMG]

But then I started max bet jackpot chasing!

Once I was down to like 200 dollars in today's gambling fund I would panic and win a hundred in Blackjack only to get remotivated for slots. Why I didn't keep on Blackjack all night is anyone's guess but I hate a dark blackjack cloud even worse than a dark slots cloud.... THIS machine is horrific [IMG]

Thanks for the advice in the above posts and the encouragement. Today I step into the light!

I'm guilty of the same sometimes with blackjack, I'll work up a nice profit and then blow it on the slots. Everytime I say stay away from the slots but I don't listen to myself very well. Where are you playing blackjack and what is the table min?

The table mins appear to be 10 dollars everywhere with a rare smattering of 5 dollar tables... Hope that answers your question

Big day. Down 200 for the day but that is NOT bad for 3 hours sleep and playing at 10 of the pimpingest casinos on the strip. Here is the run down in photos: you will recognize most of these. The games covered today were BJ, UTH, VP, Sportsbooks and of course slots. Enjoy ....
