I got a call from my best friend. He has been working hard at a new job and so have I. We only see each other once every couple of years but try to stay in touch by texting.
He called me last week and said he really wants to get away to Las Vegas. He has not been there in 10 year and knows I go there often. He said he can go from December 13 until December 16. I told him I will look into it and let him know.
I was able to move some things around and found a great deal on Frontier Airlines. It is $100 direct, non-stop from Cleveland to Las Vegas. I arrive Tuesday night at 8:30 PM and return Friday night on the red-eye, leaving at 10:30 PM. He then said he might have a work conflict.... Did I mention that he is unreliable?
Anyway of course he called on Friday and said he can't make it -- good thing it was his idea. Never one to miss a trip, I bought my ticket, took advantage of a Boulder Station offer for the first night, and booked the next two nights at the Main Street Station. I reserved a car at Payless.com for $54.
I will attempt my first trip report while I am traveling. It will be heavy on craps results and steak dinners. It might be PG-13 as my last few trips have been very interesting.
