The show with James Caan as the big name in the cast is having some type of marathon on the E channel at the moment. I’ll take it
I saw that this was happening earlier this week when I was searching for Vegas stuff to watch to get me by. I set it up to record and am almost embarrassed to say how excited I am about a tv rerun, lol.
I loved that show and was so disappointed when it went off the air and left me hanging. Wish they would have made a movie to tie up all the loose ends with the characters.
I loved that show too! I missed a lot of the last year or so since they moved to 9:00 pm. I don't have cable but glad someone is finally re-running it.
Yeah, She got blown about a mile down the strip and shot through the window of a shoe store. Of course, as happens often on the strip! I actually enjoyed the show for the most part. The last season with Selleck was suspect, not to mention, a bad way to go out. Now that I think of it, they may not have known it was the last. The one thing they like many shows needed was a fact checker. Like sitting down at a lounge to have a drink while on shift. Most anyone on this board could have done this and the show would have been better for it. Anyway, it is a LV show and I'll bite.
I watched a few episodes today but noticed the opening song was different from when it originally aired. It was cool seeing the Boardwalk Casino in one of the shots but screwed the pooch on a few others unless the Eiffel Tower was originally behind the Monte Carlo. Mark
About ten years ago Hallmark Channel starting doing reruns of Magnum PI with different music also. I figured the same. FF x number of episodes and the regular Magnum intro is back. Maybe six months later I tune in to an episode and it's back to the alternate intro. Licensing must have applied to some episodes and not others. Either way, both shows without original intros are just ain"t right!
Yep, I watched a few hours yesterday and the marathon is continuing now (Sunday) until I think 2 pm EST! LOVED this show and love it even more now. Two episodes ago today (yeah, I been watching since 7 something am LOL) had a guest appearance by Sylvester Stallone. Edited to add: Wow. The episode that just ended had guest appearances by Tony Orlando and Don Knotts, in unusual and connected story lines and ended at the very end with a guy in an Elvis uniform getting 777 and winning a car. The show is so 90s in good ways and ridiculous ways -- such as all of the female casino execs being half dressed like they were about to go to a club -- but it is soo frickin' entertaining and hilarious.
Thanks everyone for he heads up. Watched a few episodes yesterday and will catch some more today. Not always accurate but entertaining non the less. Was getting tired of watching reruns of The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men and a bunch of game shows.
Really hard to say. I don't remember any timelines, but window views varied. I remember one shot showing Harrahs in the backround. I think later episodes put it further south. Early on, I think interiors were shot at Mandalay Bay. The episode that killed me was the one where Danny was recalled to military service. Mike and Danny driving early morning along the strip to drop Danny off. They pass the Barbary Coast heading south and then passed the Flamingo etc. The drive rivaled the plane landing on the strip in Con Air!!!!!!!!
