Trips to Las Vegas

Hi all,
There's 3 of us, Irish guys, heading back to Vegas for our annual St.Paddy's (yes, not Patty's!) day trip in March.
While I am more than happy to spend my whole time playing BJ or Poker, the other 2 are not really gamblers (crazy, I know), so they are always in search of a nice little boozer to spend a bit of time and strike up some nice conversation with the other winos clientele. Beers are more the order of the day than cocktails, but it's more about the atmosphere.
Now there is no shortage of places to drink in Vegas of course, but the guys are less attracted to free drinks while playing VP, and more interested in actual drinking places... drinking first, gambling second (they are strange folk)...
So for this year, I put in a bit of effort to get a good old pub crawl set up that I think they'd enjoy.

I thought to myself, where better to get some advice on what I may have missed with this effort than here...

Let me give you the run down...
I tried to confine it to one manageable area, so focused towards downtown rather than the strip (Ellis Island, Stage Door, Moon Doggies & Double Down miss out but we will see them at some point)
It needs to be a bit of a flow walking wise. There's a lot of bars, so the air will help, although it will probably result in a lot of Uber/Lyft until we get to Fremont.
Here's my list:
Frankie's Tiki Room
Hard Hat Lounge
Dino's
Thunderbird Lounge
Huntridge
Atomic Liquors
Commonwealth (For Commonwealth think Fremont Street in general... Beauty Bar, The Griffin, Hennesy's)

Would appreciate any advice on potential gems that I may have missed out, is there any place you would definitely avoid (why?), and if there is any place here where we should definitely not walk!!

Thanks!

that is one way to do your pub crawl, but I would not rule out the strip.

Lots of bars out there to visit. How about a walk from M-Bay with some bars in the shops there... Luxor and Excal. Lots of great bars at NYNY including a "Irish Pub"

Another day, another crawl.

Great shout... and a very valid point! We are there for 6 days after all, so maybe I should think about a 2nd strip focused crawl! :)
Thanks!

I'm of no help when it comes to downtown but I also would not rule out the strip. There are a ton of fun bars in close proximity to one another, especially on the east side of the mid strip area. I don't think you'd have any trouble finding a bunch of good spots between Planet Hollywood and Harrahs. You'd also have the Stage Door and Casino Royale with $1 beers in case you want a stop that offers a reprieve from strip prices.

Have you considered Vegas Crawl? Admission alone is the cost you will be paying just driving/ being driven to and from each bar.

I gather you're gonna be headquartered downtown. Definitely hit the South Strip regardless, especially NYNY. So many great bars there. NFI, Tom's Urban and Times Square should head your list there. The walkable area between Luxor and Mandalay has RiRa irish Pub plus everybody hawking Guinness, even the ONLY Guinness store outside of Dublln if that interests you.

Somebody mentioned Oceans One over at Planet Hollywood yesterday. They're more focused on cocktails but priced at 3 for $10, you could probably do alright

You could make all the dive bars a trip of their own

I hadn't thought about that! Just looked it up, seems like it would be a great way to spend a few hours at least! Thanks of the tip!

On the strip for beer I have gone to if it becomes an option:

9 Fine Irishmen in NYNY
Todd English Pub in Aria just to do the beer chugging egg timer challenge of a pint of Guinness
The Yard House in the Linq area
Sin City Brewing in the Miracle Mile Shoppes
I've been told Public House at the Venetian is outstanding but I have not made it there yet.

Hop Nuts Brewing in the Arts District was really solid
