The beauty of Vegas is that everyone has their own favorite way of doing their trips-no one way is better than the other-whatever you want is the 'right' way. Your way is just peachy. As I got older my bankroll got bigger. Now, in retirement, I have to be more careful and my bankroll has gotten smaller (still substantial to many people, a piker to High Roller swells). Whatever my bankroll has been, I've always enjoyed my own way of Vegas and I've also enjoyed watching others enjoying theirs. (well, except for the Encore Beach Club bunch-their way is fine, but I'd prefer not to watch or be anywhere around)

No, I'm with you on that. It's just that, I gotta get away twice a year, once just isn't gonna cut it. And my bankroll for two trips is adequate.

If I lived in Calif and had unlimited free time, I would end up going less often than I could, in order to have a larger bankroll each time.

I'm in the more trips category. I go as often as
my work allows me time off to go. Either way - have fun
when you do go. That's what it is all about!!

I get 18 vacation days a year and that goes up 1 a year I work for the company. So next year I'll have 19.

With each trip roughly needing 5 vacation days, I try and go away once every 4 months. For now, I prefer larger bankrolls because I can only go away three times a year, but if my vacation days ever got to the point where I could go away 4-5 times a year, I may be willing to sacrifice the bankrolls for the more frequent trips. But I doubt it. Part of the fun of Vegas is having a large bankroll and not being afraid to lose it. I'd probably still do Vegas 2-3 times a year and use my other two trips to go somewhere less expensive without gambling

Smaller bankroll and more trips. We were originally not going to go to Vegas this year but decided we missed it so much so made a last minute trip in July then had so much fun made reservations for Nov already. our bankroll has slowly increased each trip to Vegas nearly doubling what it originally was. Our new plan is to go back to the original amount, we had lots of fun and seemed to have done just as well.

That frees up $$ for more trips... Not just Vegas, this year we also went to Biloxi and tunica (for gambling) and trips to Florida and Puerto Rico with the kids and another trip to Puerto Rico in 5 days for hubby and me alone.

We put a huge chunk of our income into travel. House and cars are paid for so living expenses are low. Ideally we like to go to Vegas 3 times a year

i've done it both ways. i can't say having the bigger bankroll made me happier or i had more fun. what does make me happy is to look out the window of the plane and see the strip waving to me. the more often the better. obviously the smaller bankroll makes for some smaller bets which brings down your average bet. with that being said, i'd rather bet smaller, have more trips and take advantage of cet offers instead of worrying about getting a free room from mlife.

I can respect the less trips, higher action view. The first time I played green, I told the dealer, and she grinned and said "It's the same game, the chips are just another color". Sometimes, you just have to respect the experience.

    Same problem here

I'm in the bigger bankroll with fewer trips camp cause I don't like hanging out in the room and don't want to change my playing style (slots).

@dnreyes23 - interesting thread, glad you started it.

Smaller bankroll and an extra trip.
Also, going off season, and getting better comps, points on airfare and another extra trip.
