    Hey gang!

Despite umpteen Wynncore stays, I've yet to try either of these places.

I was thinking about giving one (or both) a go next month while I'm there, but I haven't heard/read all that much about either place.

I know we must have some VMBers with some thoughts...anyone care to share?

    Many thanks!

Like you, I haven't tried either restaurant. For what it's worth though, my friends have all said that Lakeside is not as good as SW Steakhouse, despite both restaurants being under David Walzog's direction.

As far as Wing Lei, I've taken a look at the menu, but it seemed like glorified American Chinese fare for the most part, with a few typical Chinese banquet options added in. Honestly, with the Chinese restaurants at the Lucky Dragon, I would say there's no reason for you to try Wing Lei, unless you don't feel like going that far.

    Thanks, @iamsomedude.

I had heard similar things about LS vs. SW. But I know that LS has gone through a fair number of changes in the last several years and was wondering, hoping...

    Any other takers?

I've eaten at almost every Wynncore restaurant except Wing Lei.

Lakeside was the worst meal we've had on property.

Well, I love Lakeside. I've dined their solo the last two Thanksgivings, had my birthday celebration there last August and DBueler and I dined there between Christmas and New Years. I've enjoyed my meals there, the sangria, the service and though they are similarly situated, I like the ambiance better than at SW. It also seems less pretentious.

I'll be there again for my April trip with my mom, nieces, and DBueler. Looking forward to it.

I haven't dine yet at Wing Lei but it is on my list. I am looking to dine there the first night during my April trip when I will be there solo before my Vegas mates arrive the following day. It does seem expensive for Chinese but I've walked by their a few times and it smelled DIVINE. Plus, it's a breathtakingly beautiful restaurant.

Hopefully it was just an anomaly.....but there are too many great restaurants around for us to try it again.

Thanks, @Flowers. I too have been nearly drawn in by the aroma coming from Wing Lei!

No doubt. I've given a few places a second chance (with mixed results). But with so many great restaurants in town, it's definitely hard to justify returning to a place that has disappointed.

Great ambience and food at Lakeside. Wife enjoyed the seafood selections.
Cocktails were delicious. We'll surely be returning in our next few visits.
Haven't yet tried Wing Lei but looking forward to it in future trips.
