    My Trip Report

Heading out to beautiful Lake Tahoe tomorrow with stops both directions in Reno. Gonna be a long travel day, starting from Daytona Beach with a long layover in ATL. Expect to wear out the Delta Sky Club bartender. First night is Silver Legacy. Wednesday picking up a car at the downtown Enterprise. I got an incredible deal (these days), just over $200 for the week. The risk is this is a special where they select the car. We shall see. Four nights at Harvey's, then the last two at Silver Legacy.

I hope to do regular updates but I have said that before and didn't really follow through. I will be happy to answer any questions. Gaming will be poker, blackjack, vp, some slots (I have a weakness for Buffalo Gold) and we will play the birthdays a couple times on roulette.

Let's do it. Love me some Reno-Tahoe to hold me over until August.

Plz let me know if all the machines are going. I hate it when they turn half of them off for social distancing. I hope that’s over.

Quite the travel day. Our 12:15 flight out of Daytona had a weather hold and we sat on the plane over 2 hours, arriving in Atlanta after 4. The 6 pm flight to Reno was on time so where I thought we would kill 4 hours in the sky club, we only had a bit more than an hour. Still, we knocked down 3 glasses of champagne each, had a nice meal and brought some snacks for the long leg. Both planes completely full.

Spent about an hour in the casinos- Silver Legacy and Eldorado. Drink service was abysmal. Did some vp (1 4oak), Buffalo Gold (one bonus) staying around even before donking off 100 in a wild leprecaun. Spotted a wonder 4 on the way out and got the hundo back when a leprecaun screen completely filled with kegs or barrels or something. Walking back to the room saw a sign that said swipe your card daily. I did and won a wireless meat thermometer.

All the slots are open, most table minimums are $25. Walking the Truckee in the am then picking up the mystery rental a few blocks down the street then it's off to the lake. Now my east coast body needs rest.

Won't be here on the weekend but I did look at the tables on a walk around last night. There might have been one $10 bj table but everything else looked like 25. Craps was 25. You could walk down Virginia a block to the Cal Neva where I expect minimums will be lower.

Checked in at beautiful Lake Tahoe. Started the day with a win at the downtown Reno Enterprise. I had signed up for you click we pick. For $211 for the week but they pick the car. Expected a compact and when I checked in the agent said it would be a Nissan Versa and they were just cleaning it up. A bit later he came back with a sweet Jeep Wrangler. Nice ride, came in on 431 through Incline Village. Wanted to hike some but parking lots were full so just came on to Harvey's. Had an excellent lunch outside at McP's Tavern. Pulled pork nachos the two of us couldn't finish.

Room was available shortly after noon. Did everything on the app and kiosk and have a 6th floor Tahoe tower with a partial lake view. Supposedly newly remodeled and wife confirmed. Room is fine. But...

No coffee maker, no mini fridge, no housekeeping, no valet. No tables open in Harvey's until a few minutes ago. Only a handful of restaurants open. I hope this doesn't become permanent but I fear it might.

Had a good gaming day so far. Hit almost back to back quads on a JOB $1 progressive- $3 bet. First spin on a wheel of fortune machine hit for $165. Time change and travel hitting us now so sipping a scotch in the room while wife naps.

Oh, minimums- carny games 10,15,25; bj one 15 table, then 25; craps 25. Saw the cursed triple zero roulette table in Harrah's but thankfully it wasn't open. Educating wife on the evils of 000 and 6:5 bj.

    More to come.

Nice win with the Wrangler. I reserved a Wrangler that I prepaid for in Vegas, only to be told they only have a mini van. I spent an hour on the phone with Avis to get a refund, and walked over to Alamo and got a mid sized SUV for half I paid for the Wrangler. I was still pissed, because I wanted to use the wrangler as a long term test drive.

Booked a $400 win on Buffalo and Wonder 4 tonight, treaded water on vp. I used to never play slots but damn they can be addictive. I can't believe I haven't set down to a table game or poker table yet.

Won another 300 this morning on wonder 4 and buffalo, then the wife won 400 on Game of Thrones. She loves that game but I don't think we've won on it since it first came out and she played it right at the Paris entrance. Normally I would have booked a number of poker sessions but the room here is only open at 3 pm Thursday through Sunday.

Walked down to check out Montbleu. Pretty property but small casino - didn't see any table games. Had a nice reasonable lunch there-50% off for seniors on Thursday!

In Tahoe back in May there was hardly any social distancing measures. Every machine and table and seat was open. Some of the video poker banks had plexiglass still but they said those were coming down soon at the time. I would expect nothing a month later

No social distancing at Harvey's. Did not see sigma derby at mont blue. If we had we might still be there. If we make it back down there I will let you know. I don't remember a separate room

I have to say yesterday's highlight was hearing live music. Dinner at McP's Tavern with a rocking band followed by dueling pianos in Harvey's. Good fun. Gaming was up and down. Lost about 350 when my full house was beat by a better full house in the poker room. Clawed back about 100 on JOB at the Heavenly bar and won a couple hundred more on Buffalo. Today's our last full down. Getting ready to walk down to the beach to watch our friend parasail.

At the marina this morning. Boat ramp was working, they were renting all the toys. They did warn boat renters to stay 600 feet from the shoreline so I guess they have had some run aground.
