Ladies... what locals spot is your "go to" mani/pedi source?

I've been asked by the other half to find a GOOD place for her to get a pedicure when she arrives in a few days... And sure we can overspend on luck of the draw service at any of the strip hotel spas, but I've got to think with so many locals places all over, maybe there's a better way to go... Being well outside my area of expertise, what say you ladies of VMB? Thanks in advance!

I hate to say I have no idea in Vegas. I refuse to pay their inflated prices. I go to the mall about 50 minutes away (Eau Claire) and they are $25 pedi/25-30 mani (plus tip) and they do a great job. They are so busy and have two locations in the mall with normal wait times of 45 minutes & up to get in. I believe those and the ones in La Crosse are all run by Hmong community members. If she can do it before she leaves she will probably save a ton of cash and a lot of precious vacation time also.

    Guess it's a solo trip..........

Sorry , no help here either. I always get my pedicure pre-trip. $25 for a great pedicure at my local place, which includes a parafin wax tratment, is just too good to swap for strip prices.

Plus, it gets me in my Vegas groove pre-trip, plus I don't want to spend an hour doing it while in Vegas.

So, pretty much parroting what JGates said :)

Good luck though, and very generous of you for checking for her!

More of the same from me, sorry. I did get my nails done once in a place in the Bally's Bazaar- they do flamboyant nails but no polish changes. It was called Tokyo Nail Bar or something. Was supposed to be fast & fancy. The fancy stuff pretty much required the gel, which i didn't want. My nails looked nice, but not much nicer than when i do them, so i just fine tuned my own nail game & it saves me a ton of money.

Tokyo Nail Bar was good though. Not sure if they do pedicures. There are usually a few nice groupons out there, sometimes its nails & champagne.

The one time I did a mani-pedi in Vegas was several years ago at a place we found through Groupon. It was enjoyable but in retrospect, I don't know if that place is one I would recommend to just anyone if it's still around. It was a bit flamboyant.

Glad to hear about Tokyo Nail Bar. I always figured anyone who opened a nail shop on the strip would make a killing and with all this new retail coming, there should be opportunities for more. I thing I would do is check out the offstrip casinos. Even if their regular menu prices for mani/pedis are out of your budget, many have specials all the time and they aren't always advertised.
