Looks interesting. I'll be interested to see what the optimal betting strategy is on this. X units on round 1 Y Units on Round 2 etc etc.
Well, the math on an infinite deck isn't too bad. Unfortunately, the best bets math wise are clearly round 1 and the red/black bet. The red/ black bet is better than single zero roulette. Card removal does affect the math a little though, but I'm not doing that effort for free. Especially since the Wizard of Odds already did it. https://wizardofodds.com/games/knockout-52/ I probably should have looked there first, but I guess it was good to give my brain a workout.
As for the game in general: just like what was discussed at the end of the video, it will be pretty key to have energetic dealers dealing this. The dealer in the video is Angela Wyman, who the Wizard of Odds has also hired on several occasions for demonstrations. She did a great job with the energy in the video.
I feel like this game will flop without an energetic dealer (and maybe the little knockout bell). I can also only see this running at places like Excalibur, Luxor, Flamingo, Linq. I'm a little confused from the video, looks like they never shuffled the used cards, but just put them to the back? I guess since they were doing a "tournament", it doesn't really matter. I assume in a live installation they would have a CSM or (ASM to swap between decks every round) and all the discards would be shuffled after each round. Of course that doesn't always happen... Is the main bet required, or can we do just red/black?
@tringlomane Thanks for the effort put into this. Better than I was expecting honestly. Of course if the game takes off and becomes too popular they will just add a couple of green jokers to the deck. lol.
