Ok im here now. It takes me a couple days to recover everytime i come back. i cant understand why(hahah). flew Trans-meridian out of Syracuse. Great flight no hassles. and for 200.00 round trip direct flight how could you go wrong. this is a new airline for us in central NY we used to have to drive to albany to catch a southwest direct, but now we have transmeridian. nothing but good things to say about the airline. arrived in vegas about 1030 am. Bell Trans limo was 15 minutes late and the driver had the " i dont care" attitude. when i asked him if we could stop at the liquer store on paradise he said "shuttle to hotel only" by this time i was really started to get irratated with him and so he was rewarded with an whole $4.00 tip. This is not like me at all, but since he didnt care, why the hell should I. I would have gave him 20.00 if he stopped at the store like i asked, but, what are you gonna do. on to the hotel. I reserved a strip view players suite at NYNY and upon arrival was told that there are no players suites on the strip side of the hotel. this is funnt to me cause i stayed in one last year. he was still persistant that all of their suites were on the back side of the hotel. I asked him to look up the room number that i stayed in last year and all of a sudden he remembered they have several on the strip side. I cant stand it when people in the service industry have the "care less" attitude. I used the $20.00 trick to avoid any strip view charges and it worked like a charm. what a view. and the room continues to impress me every time i stay there. dvd 2 tv's jacuzzi, sitting area, table, awesome beds and an ice maker in the bathroom. the bathroom was small but who needs a huge bathroom? id rather have the extra space in the suite. Went with on e friend and one couple who hadent been before. its always fun to see the looks of "Vegas Virgins" when they first see everything. Had no problems with the hotel until wednesday night. We were getting ready to go out and we had our music pumpin about 930. The lady in the room next door called security because the sub-woofer on the bose system was quite loud. now comes this question "who goes to sleep at 930 in vegas???" anyway, after the initial call from security they sent a guard up to the room. i told her that whats the point of having a cd player in the room if you cant use it? she understood and left. then like 30 minutes later another guard came up. apparantly this time the compaint was "loud talking" - by this time i was ready to break thru the connecting door and choke whatever asshole was in the next room. My friend demanded that we get either upgraded to the next available suite or they move the lady next door. i paid an extra 100.00 per night so i can listen to music whenever i want. ill be damned if someone is gonna tell me to turn it off. mind you this is still well before midnight. my friend was really starting to get annoyed with this so he told security to politely ask the lady to come over to our room and work it out like normal people. and of course the coward would'nt. 4 minutes later she was gone. and when she was walking out of her room, we heard her door slam and opened ours to see her. I told her that all she had to do was ask nicely and we would have turned the music off - she pretended we werenet there. I hate people who act like that on vacation. That was the only complaint i had the entire time. But, the good thing is the next morning i went downstars to complain the clerk at the desk offered dinner for 4 at il fornaio. i sais "how about gallaghers cause we eat breakfast there everyday" after a $10.00 grease job she agreed. What a meal the bill was almost 400.00 and only 1 bottle of wine!!! but i think we deserved it for having to put up with the grinch in the next room. Bellagio Buffet was the best ive ever had. It moves up above the spice market. For some reason the spice market makes me sleep. i think the add something to spray their food to fill you up faster. Bellagio i felt great after i ate. and the desserts at bellagio are off the chain!!!!! the fountain show gets me everytime. One of my favorite things to do there. Spent most of the first day showing our friends the town and hotels. didnt gamble much the first day. ended up falling asleep about 4am. woke up tuesday about noon vegas time. went down the the pond (NYNY's pool does not deserve to be called a pool - Its a large pond) and laid out for a few hours getting ready for the night. Went to bellagio for dinner that night. the couple decided to stay in that night because she has a bad migrane. to bad. see you wednesday!!!! Spent most of tuesday night venturing around casinos and taking in the sights. It was a real treat to walk on the corner of flamingo and LVB and not smell sewage. The Roman Plaza isnt bad at all. I think that when it is finally done - it will be great. Just out of curiosity how long has the construction been going on there? Ive only been going to vegas for 2.5 years and its always been torn up. Does anyone know what the name of the new tower will be? Probably Celine Tower. hahah. They really play her out at that place its starts to get irratating after a while. and just when you think you're away from her and safe at Bellagio - the water show is the song from Titanic!AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! anyway - Thursday was our last day so my friend jim and i went to the star trek expierence to try the new borg 4d ride. I have loved star trek since i was born and never miss this on a trip. Borg 4d does not dissappoint. Im not gonna ruin it for anyone who plans on going. Its off the hook. I went on it twice. the klingon one is getting old. they need to redo the film of the shuttle flying around vegas. you can still see the sands!!!!! The mgm still has the old lion's mouth entrance. Next onto the Stratospere and Projext X-Scream. Overrated. Not as much fun as the big shot. the scaryiest part of x-screeam is wondering weather or not the entire ride is going to fall off the end of the tower. that was what scared me the most. Big shot, High Roller, then x-screm in that order. i understand they are building a swingset that holds you over the top of the tower. that should be insane!!!!! also visited the hotel on this day. all i can say is i am definately going to stay here next time. the elevator lobby is even gorgeous. this place really has class. it was a ways away from everything, but if you want a secluded retreat this place is for you. the girl at the desk actually let us go up and see one of the suites and WOW!!! was i impressed. the only thing this place is missing is its own pool. but i guess they are building one, or they have plans to. Mandalay Place is nice too, expensive , but nice. i spent 45.00 at the art of shaving, but it was well worth it. i didnt have to shave for like 3 days and god was my face smooth.(Italian) Normally i have a 5 o'clock shodow by like 230. not this time!! To sum up - aside from the jerk in the room next door, everything was great. Goodbye NYNY hello THEHotel.
