So I'm starting the New Year by doing some house cleaning while watching football. I'm doing some rearranging and what not. I pulled out a pair of shorts and found 4 Aria dollar chips. They are from my Labor Day trip I think. I'm pretty sure I've found a $25 chip before after getting home.

What amount of chips have you found that you've accidentally brought home?

Never accidentally brought home chips but one time got home and found $75 of free play in my pocket that I forgot to use.

The most I've found is probably $5-$15 in chips.

I had a friend who went bankrupt 4 days into our 7 day road trip to Vegas. So any time he found a ticket voucher for 10 cents, 50 cents, even a dollar, he collected them and took his sweet time to cash it all in just to redeem McDonald's. We wanted to teach him a lesson. Don't go on a trip this long unless you can afford it, which he certainly couldn't!

He was so desperate that he walked from Paris all the way to Freemont street to cash in a $5 voucher in 120 degree heat. Never seen a human lobster before until then.

Anyway, my point is - when we got home, he found a $50 ticket voucher that he forgot to cash in which would have probably saved him so much time and hassle!!!

Funny thing is - now every time we go to Vegas, he turns in $1,000 profit every night at the blackjack tables without any effort.

I've found a few Doritos crumbs in the backpack, but that's been it for chips!

My bride keeps tiny-denomination TITOs as souvenirs from each trip so I find those in our luggage pockets all the time!

Stray or stashed chips I always find while I'm still there, but I found 2 TITOs worth a combined $1,150 in my wallet once after getting home.

Now that I think about it, it's probably just luck I've never been shitfaced enough to think it would be a great idea to stash a few blacks or TITOs in the minibar or under the mattress or sofa cushions instead of the safe.

Stands for "Ticket-In/Ticket-Out". The very common way that slot/VP machines have cashed out winnings over the last 10+ years.

They're the vouchers slot machine spit out when you cash out. Ticket-In Ticket-Out.

When I think about it a little more, I'm sure I've been shitfaced enough to think it was a good idea, I've just never actually done it.

    I think...

Hahaha, I just call them ticket vouchers. Thanks! What did you end up doing about the ticket, Chuck?

I had $30 in chips from The Linq in July. I rarely play there so I mailed them to a friend in San Antonio that was going in November, told her they were here lucky chips. Sadly they weren't .

    Happy birthday to me!

LOVE this, totally cracked me up. I'm not big on casinos outside of Vegas, BUT occasionally hit them on a blue moon with the inlaws. On rooms that don't have safes, I've hidden a few bills behind the fire exit diagram on the door. (Sounds dumb, but not a place staff would check first, since it require no cleaning or service.)

At least on one occasion, the money slid further down than I hoped, and I was HOPING I removed all the cash (hard to see). Worst case scenario would be a $20 lost, but I can TOTALLY see someone hiding a TITO or chip in a weird spot while drunkie pants, then forgetting.

Though, a $5 or $20 might be humorous, a few black chips on the otherhand, makes me cringe even thinking about it, as im sure it's been done :(

On the TITOs I brought home, I had a host, so I emailed him and he said "no sweat it happens all the time."

I took a copy of them just in case and then Priority Mailed them to him and I got a check about a week or so later. They route them through the MGM Resorts Accounts Payable department.

No we turned it into security. Found it on the floor right in front of the high limit room so it should have been on camera. Lots of people thought I was nuts for turning it in but it turned out to be our first ever winning trip so I guess karma was on our side.

After my last trip I was emptying my pockets at the airport, and found $75 in chips that I forgot to cash-in before I left PH. Guess that gives me a good reason to make a trip over there.

The same thing happened to us at Fremont. We sat down at video poker machines and there was bucket of $1 tokens (Yeah, they still had machines that spit out tokens) and it probably had $300-$400 dollars in it. We turned it into the cage and informed them where it was found. About 20 minutes later, a lady stops by and asks if we had seen a bucket of coins. We told here we turned them into the cage. After picking them up, she returned and gave us $50. We turned that into $300.

It's something that we would have done regardless of the environment, but there is also too much risk to not turning it in due to the "eye in the sky"

Found a ticket worth about $175 under a chair at the VP bar at Winstar Casino in Oklahoma. Turned it in. They traced it back to the persons players card. I assume the owner eventually got their money back.

Found a winstar TITO in my wife's purse once. About $30. They mailed us the cash!

Apparently last trip I brought home $80 in chips from The Linq, just cashed in my change jar and it had $523 and 3 $25 and 1$5 Chip. So over $600 added to April's bank roll
