Well this is embarrassing, apparently back in 1989 a small group of us went into the city, Greenwich Village to be exact, to celebrate my 19th birthday. It appears I lost 500 bucks on a street corner, to a very legitimate game of Three-card Monty. What a dope!

Anyone else have something they'd like to share, that's equally as foolish??

My two son-in-laws lost some money (not sure how much) to a 3 card Monty game on one of the overpasses in Vegas around 4 or 5 years ago. They were old enough to know better, but they had it " figured " out. We still give them hell over it.

I lost some money to 3 card Full Monty....they took my money and my clothes

I don't think I've ever seen that. I'm surprised they don't have it downtown. And, I guess you're not counting bad investments. ;)

I'll bet you were not a "Happygirl" then! I'm sure many of us have a similar story......
Good luck. :beer::beer:

I guess $500 was a lot of money back then.

Honestly, money wise, probably not too much. But more like, how could I be so dumb to get suckered into a "game" like that. I was just young and dumb but maybe better for it today? Or then again, maybe not, but at least now I gamble on "regulated" games, instead of games on street corners, lol.. :whistle:

Oh yes, I "knew" the game too... oops. lol.
