Trips to Las Vegas

The wife and I have decided that we don't need a fancy room on our 20th anniversary trip in August. Add to that we haven't been to vegas in 15 years, so we don't have any history to help us with room cost. I got on line last night and Harrahs was having there cyber special on rooms. I have booked 4 nights in a newly renovated valley tower room for $443.52, that includes taxes and resort fees. We had talked about getting a suite somewhere or a terrace room at the Cosmo, but decided we don't spend much time in the room anyway and would rather have the savings to gamble with or eat fancy meals. I know its a long way off, but its exciting knowing that the rooms are taken care of already. I will start searching for flight deal around March 1st.

Not sure what the question is.

But - book it. Cancel if you find something better later.

Not really a question, just posting what kind of deal I got at Harrah's. Sorry if this is the wrong forum for that.

Congrats and happy anniversary in advance!

Nice deal! Was the cyber deal available through the Total Rewards website or did you receive the offer via email?

  • Golf Trip
Congrats! The thing I like about Harrahs is that if the casino gets to be too much, you can escape to Ruth's Chris on the floor above by hopping on that dedicated elevator. I love the view from Ruth's Chris at night.

  • Summer reboot!
The new tower was renamed from Carnaval South. Unless you got a suite it is not a large room, just a makeover from the old room and same as the Carnaval North tower. You can book and always cancel if you find a better deal. Plenty of time to look. about $70 a night plus RF and taxes.

I've heard good things about the new rooms, hopefully the $20 trick will get me one in March.

Sorry... was a big confused. Yes, posting here is just fine.

The deal was not something that was offered through there total rewards program, although I have signed up for this. I was just going from resort to resort looking at deals and this one popped up. I am pretty sure it stated that the deal only ran through Dec. 8th. I agree will all of you, in that I will keep looking for better. I am pretty sure all of the Mlife resorts are not booking out that far, as they all list those dates as being full. Once these open up I may find something better.

Yes This deal was for all CET properties and ends today

$20 worked in July, tix4tonight has the buffet, also the high roller is right next door. However, assuming you don't find a better offer and keep the hotel, I would STRONGLY recommend you get a highend hotel (if you don't get a killer Harrah upgrade) on the last night only! And don't even tell her until after she wakes up; if rates are high, consider a five star hotwire/priceline. It's your anniversary, I think she'll LOVE the surprise and it just caps the anniversary vacation off making it one of the most memorial things about the vacation
