Joe's 7 Vegas Nites !....Part 1

I stayed 4 nites comp'd at MSS
And Stratosphere for 4 nites ( I overlapped at the 2 properties )
Paid $28 + $28, free, free, at The STRAT .
.
MSS was very LUCKY for me !...I hated to go ! and almost
left The Strat after only one nite.
.
I went the first 4 days at MSS without losing -
well...okay the fourth day I ended down $6....yes, ....six dollars !
.
Here's how the gambling went --
I played mostly at The Boar Bar.
Saw Jose, Kelli, and Joey "towels".
The .05 Bonus Poker progressive ( near the elevators ) kept rising.
That baby was overdue !
$650 when I arrived and soared up to $1,200.
I did hit 4 aces with a duece kicker for $200 one afternoon -
but mostly it took any $$ I played.
.
I played VP and a few cheap penny slots at about 10 cents a pull -
just to waste some time.
I made only ONE bet at the crap table - more on that later.

Day #1.......+100
Day#2........+ 975
Day # 3.....+ 150
Day #4.......-6......yup....but what a "comeback" I made !
.
Day#2.....I am saying "hello" to barkeep Kelli......I am yappin' away +
I hold 3 diamond face cards........in mid sentence....the other two
face diamonds pop up.....ROYAL FLUSH !!!!!!!
I "Hi Five" Kelli + whoop it up !
My second ROYAL ever ! ( last yr was my first - at Stratosphere ).
The VP machine now plays "music" while you wait for your hand pay.
The lady next to me asked me about the music --
I said "I think this is new ? Cos when my wife hit a Royal - I didn't
hear any music ?"

Day #4 ...."The Comeback !"
Got wacked at Boar Bar VP......went over to the .05 progressive.
This is when I hit 4 aces w/ duece kicker = $200.
I was still down.
Walked by a near empty Crap table.
One guy shooting alone......I watch.....he keeps rolling 8.
I jump in.... "$10 Hard Eight !!!"
two rolls later....."HARD EIGHT !".......the dealers look at me ?
"How the hell did he know ?" THAT LOOK !:evillaugh
I walk over to the Penny slots.......and come away w/ $20.
ALL TOTAL ?......MINUS 6 bucks !

What is MSS? I tried to figure it out. Yes please comment on microbrews.

A good microbrewery from the Southern PA region is Troegs, just in case anyone gets around there

Brewmeister Special was Honey Lager +
Spicey Belgian = only in the brew pub.
The Honey Lager - I tried two consecutive days.
First day, I thought "Not bad."
Second day, I could really taste how SWEET it was.
Too sweet for my taste.
The Spicey Belgian ?.....I asked "What's the spice ?"
I was told "Orange-y taste."
It was better than the Honey Lager.
I should have asked the alcohol content -- cos "my
@ss was kicked" when I left the brew pub !

June 5th ?........not long.
It got hot as hell -- just the weekend, I left.
Man, did I miss those $1.50 micros when I moved to The Strat -
where i paid $5 for a crappy Coors light !

 

If only I could hear the music...

one thing i hate about vegas is the gouging of drinks when you aren't playing!!! mss is a perfect spot, as is ellis island, for the drinking fan, but not the gambling fan.
