    Nah, $400 R/T plus check in bag fees. Can do $350 or so periodically on SW with no bag fee in the north east. Low $300's is doable from the north east also at times, including NY if you keep your eyes open. If you are specifically looking to fly Virgin, that may be decent though.

    Virgin American is no SWA...Along with JetBlue, probably the best US carrier. Virgin Atlantic is amazing as well. $400 is a great deal.

    Southwest does not have direct flights from NYC. Easily worth the extra $25 per flight for direct (I don't check luggage so no luggage fees)
