Did anyone use the 113 bus to go to Jerrys Nugget? Any suggestions?
Thank in advance.
Not yet, but it is on my list. Probably on our fall trip. Dad is withe me this time, so no surprises.
I'm not usually the scaredy type, but if that bus goes north on Main or LVB from downtown I would not feel that safe!
Would not recommend a single female doing this ride..
I have wondered the same thing for the last couple trips but haven't done it yet. Maybe this time.
It would be interesting to take the route at night.
Yes, 113 goes exactly like that, from downtown northbound pass Jerry's Nugget and then Silver Nugget.
I am a single female who has done this. I guess I am just rough and tough.
As one who been in that area at night a lot (we do the Jerry's/Palomino combo a couple of times each trip) there are a lot of sketchy characters around. One time at about 10 on a Friday night it was literally like the Walking Dead around there.
I'm a 68 year old female and I go every trip, but not at night.
How long of a bus ride is it from downtown to get to jerrys nugget? Also I assume you pick up this bus at bonneville depot or is there a stop by downtown to pick it up?
It looks like you can get on the 113 at 4th & Carson.
I'm not that far behind you, but I would do a taxi!
We took Lyft to and from the Cal to Jerry's last trip total $10.00.
Yea if be pissed if my SO did this, unnecessary risk when one can uber for $10-12.. best of luck to you
I've done it at night, never had a problem. I kind of like Jerry's Nugget. It is actually the first casino that I ever played blackjack in.
Believe it or not, I've actually walked there from the strip, also at night. That was on my first trip, when I thought everything was a lot closer than it was. I had no problems that time, either. But I'll admit I got a little nervous when I walked past/through a bunch of rough looking dudes standing around on the sidewalk in front of some cemetery for God knows what reason.
Thanks for everyone who offered advice. I didn't get there this trip but it's still on the list.
well, you missed the walking dead scene.
