The December post by east coast got me thinking. Anybody going in January? I am thinking about it depending on airfare. Getting some pretty decent MGM offers. Hoping for a decent Wynn offer as well.
I am going to try a longer working trip for 20 nights again next year. It didn't end up happening this year. I have Sonesta Simply Suites booked for 17 nights starting on January 12, then move to Mandalay Bay on 1/29 to use my M Life offer for 3 nights.
I normally go for the Super Bowl, but decided to go a couple weeks earlier this year. Jan 20-25. Haven’t decided where I’ll be staying yet, but likely Gold Coast and Main Street Station.
Just finalized my plans for January so figured I may as well get that thread started! Doing 6 nights and 3 hotels, which is kind of a lot, but I really wanted to take advantage of some different offers and try some new properties on this trip! Booked 1/7 & 1/8 at Vdara, 1/9 & 1/10 at Conrad Resorts World, and finally 1/11 & 1/12 at Encore! Most excited to stay at Wynncore for the first time for sure, with a great little teaser offer for my relatively small level of VP play I gave them last time ($100 resort credit & $25 freeplay). Have some resort credit and freeplay for Vdara as well, and Resorts World is to use up my $250 resort credit with the Hilton Aspire card. Hopefully staying there is better than some of the reviews I've read! Other plans include seeing two hockey games (my LA Kings on 1/7 and the Florida Panthers on 1/12), very excited that I get two games in during this trip again! Plus, of course, lots of amazing food and plenty of craps, VP and some other assorted table games. Woo, almost Vegas time again!!
13th-16th at Mandalay Bay. Pretty good rate on an Elite King room when you look at weekend rates overall. Also $15 Freeplay and $50 resort credit.
If the price is right then you can never book too far in advance. Especially if the rate can be cancelled.
Jan 5-8 for CES, poker, craps, at Mandalay Bay. Usually go solo but bringing the wifey this time at the tail end of a road trip from the Bay Area to LA, Joshua Tree, then Vegas!
January 13th - 16th, Grande Suite at NoMad. $225FP/$400RC. Not sure what the plans are but my girlfriend asked me to book it because one of her coworkers is going then also. I just do as I'm told! Looks like the exact same dates as @HoppinHardWays
Yup! I'll be there with my wife. Both our birthdays are in January. First time going in January since 2014.
January 22-25 for Lunar New Year. Going on the actual day this year, since it was a comped date. Park MGM, of course.
Possibly Jan. 24 or 26th... weirdly awesome comp, and using my brother's companion air fare if we pull this off...
Change of venue for us. Got what I think is a pretty good deal from WynnCore for those three nights. Total for a panoramic room at Wynn including taxes and fees is $784. Plus a $125 resort credit. Overall about $130 more than MB, but my wife told me I would rather stay at Wynn anyways and have been thinking about it. I was like and you weren't going to say anything?
January 23-25 at Wynn, 26-28 at RW for two pre birthday celebrations - food and slots. Maybe a snowflake or two?
Just booked Jan 25-28 at Wynn. Offer booking deadline is in 4 days.. SWA sale ended last night. Panoramic King. No Tower Suites if Fri or Sat night on my offers, although might see if host can help. Might not... host walked me through the rate differential weeknights vs weekends vs high demand periods. It's Lunar New Year week
