Jan. 1 flight from Chicago - $119

Right now, the flight from Chicago to Vegas on Jan. 1 is $119.

Should I expect it to go up or down at this point?

Will book in a week or two.

Already have return flight for $53. But I am a cheap ass.

Typically 45-30 days is the best bet for prices. You can go to Google Flights and keep an eye on it that way, depending on the airline. But if you're finding stuff for $119 I'd jump on that now and lock it in...

 

Spirit. Never flown with them, which makes me nervous, given their reputation!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Are you going to have any luggage or carry ons?

 

I have a buddy who left United (express) and went to work for them. He said "if you don't mind the fees it's a great service" he's been with them for two or three years now and likes it. But you will have to pay for EVERYTHING! Print your boarding pass from home, you'll pay for carry on, an aisle or window seat, etc...

decent fare... assume you have also checked other airlines. On New Years Day there are usually good rates.

 

Thanks, guys. No carryon or luggage, just a drawstring bag (personal item, like a purse, which is FREE) to contain a couple underwear, socks, and shorts to sleep in. Since I'm only going for 3 nights, I'm just gonna wear the same jeans and hoodie the whole time. No biggie.

 

I'll have a couple shirts as well underneath so they don't smell

 

Not really too concerned about seats either a few hours of uncomfort won't kill me
