Kim and I are going to Borgata on Thursday. I'm looking for a good place near Borgata or the boardwalk to get ray oysters.

    Thanks,
    Ty

Dock's Oyster House! Fabulous happy hour that begins @ 4:00pm. But you'll need to get there a little bit earlier and wait for the doors to open. Happy hour is in the bar and you will NOT be disappointed.

Seconding. Went there in early 2019 and loved it. It’s been there since 1897. Feels very different compared to the casino resorts, but I’d absolutely go out of my way to have oysters there again.

Dougherty's Raw Bar at Resorts has daily happy hour from 4-6 PM, select oysters are $1.25 each, breaking the buck a shuck barrier. Menu. I third the Docks Oyster House recommendation, but regulars line up by 4 pm, bar area only, 4-6 pm. Both restaurants are under the same ownership.

In the Marina area, Vic and Anthony’s Steakhouse at Golden Nugget has happy hour 4-7 pm daily and all day Thursday. Menu Bar area only, it’s one of my favorite HH’s.

Unfortunately, Harry’s Oyster bar at Bally’s recently closed, that was one of the best buck a shuck happy hours. If you’re at Borgata, Old Homestead has Blue Points from Long Island, but a dozen will set you back $48.

Thanks for all the tips. I'll be traveling to AC next month and Happy Hour will be my "lunchtime".

Here is a list of dining deals at Ocean Casino, the $9.99 steak and egg breakfast is notable. Bally’s features happy hour at Guy Fieri’s Chophouse, Water Dog Smokehouse. In addition to the happy hour at Vic and Anthony’s at Golden Nugget, Lilli’s Asian Cuisine, Chart House, Grotto (Friday-Sunday). Morton’s at Caesars has Power Hour, but I can’t find a menu online. Also, The Palm has Primetime at the Bar, but I can’t find a menu; this is at Tropicana. McCormick & Schmick’s has one of the best HH’s, the $8 cheeseburger with fries is a great deal.

For non-casino local places, Tennessee Ave Beer Hall, Ducktown Tavern, Tony’s Baltimore Grill, Bourre have HH.

These happy hour deals are typically in the bar area only, check hours, and they can change tomorrow.

Mark Weins is a food vlogger, he recently posted three videos where he re-traced Anthony Bourdain’s New Jersey food tour. Fast forward to 20:30 for a peek at Dock’s Oyster House. Tony’s Baltimore Grill is featured at 11:30.

Thanks for all the feedback. If all goes well we will get to Borgata around 3pm tomorrow, grab our room keys and head to Dock's Oyster House.

Looks like you will have great weather for the weekend according to Joe Martucci of the Press of Atlantic City. Temperatures might reach 80 and water temps in the high 60’s, could be a beach day.

@Ty Just saw this, but Rum Point Crab House at Harrah's could be an option as well. However I vote Dock's times a million for all their food.

About 5 years ago when the city was still reeling from the effects of several casino closures, the owners of Dock’s decided to close for 6 months and spend over $1 Mil on renovations to expand the restaurant. No wonder the place has been around for almost 125 years.
