    So I have an option to get two nights comped at nyny. Thing is when I read the t&c's I cant figure out weather there is a catch weather I have to play a certain amount. The terms are worded as follows;

    Yes, it's a comp. The part you highlighted in red is a string attached, but one they never pull.

    It's basically a free ride (except for resort fees - you'll probably have to call to find out whether you'll be charged, but my guess on that kind of offer is, yes you will).

    They expect you to play at the same level as your most recent trip. But they won't make you pay for the room if you don't. The penalty will be, the next set of offers you get likely will be worse.

    And there IS a play expectation. Whether you choose to meet it is at your discretion, and short play/no play may affect future offers.

    However, what exactly the play requirements are isn't clear.

    Some may call it an UPFRONT OFFER or UPFRONT COMP. Though they expect play, it is not required. If you play lower than your normal, they will stop sending offers.

    Other comps are based on your current play and evaluated during or towards the end of your visit. They are TOTALLY based on current play.

    Based on the size of this offer, I would guess your play is on the low side and they are trying to get you back in house on slower days.
