I noticed they don’t have umbrellas, makes perfect sense because it’s a stadium style seating venue. I’m going in late July, and wondering if this is a misstep. In addition, one of the people I’m going with isn’t exactly friends with the sun. I will just walk back inside, and/or stay in the water. Anyone been?

ECVF, not sure if you're referring to my observation, but yes, I went up there when it first opened in October and personally found it surprisingly brutal for a day that was albeit very sunny, but only in the low 70s. I don't know if the sun hitting the glass building had anything to do with it. I only lasted an hour or so before heading over to the Nugg's pool area, where the mini craps table was $5, and it felt a lot more pleasant there.

How much are you paying for the reservation? Just the general admission, or are you paying an F&B min for a chair too? Getting a lunch and a drink and hanging out for an hour wasn't horrible, but just not something I can see doing again, particularly in the brutal summer temps.

Just General Admission, got the tickets online in March for like $20. I really don’t have any desire to hangout there all day, I just want to check it out. I have a room at the Plaza so I will go there, and GN as I love that craps tub! Thanks for letting me know.

Just a comment... I've noticed this too about Circa and Resorts World. There's no umbrellas or shade in general. I like to stay at the pool for a few hours, but not in 100* direct sun.

IDK when they open, but if you go east coast time early, you might survive,
    your friends milage may vary,
our buddy was super psyched to get a cabana, then he spent every morning out there, in the chairs, and said they looked kind of small and shitty. (his words)
Still haven't seen the pool in like 4 trips staying there, and probably won't during summer.
Only incentive would be to see if I could find DJ Cake playing there sometime and make her drop her Dre beat mix.
or the cabana, hate the sun and the sun hates me.

At least all the pools are heated.

But seriously do they even turn off the heat? Or at least reserve a few that aren’t heated.

My buddy went in May and they spent like $500 on chairs, food, and alcohol. Buddy was taken back by the no umbrellas and spoke to the staff. He was told that Derek Stevens doesn't want those obstructions. As to being hot, my buddies shoes melted up there. So, yes apparently it gets really hot. I feel bad for the workers up there.

It's a roof top in Vegas, it's going to be hot with or without umbrellas. I honestly don't know how people go to the rooftop pools downtown. There can't be anything pleasant there, especially when you're paying $35 for a beer. While the Circa pool is neat, the only pool downtown that I'd hang out is at Golden Nugget.

Not only does it get hot but it gets windy too. And not a cool breeze but the type of wind that blows chairs around

There is a video on YouTube showing the cushions blowing around.

Just to be positive, Legacy Club is awesome, and the sportsbook is probably the best in Las Vegas.

After that, they will just shut down the place when it gets too windy. It's the same with other resorts but it gets especially windy up there apparently.

Holy sh*t! What a video! Lawsuit in the making. Imagine being drunk getting hit with a mattress falling in the pool and drowning..

The wind doesn’t pay. That’s the problem. One of the girls told me a piece of the Circa sign fell too.

All should be fine now. Just working out the kinks of a new resort. Give Resorts World and Virgin time and they’ll be fine. Okay, maybe not Virgin.

I went in February, it was probably 65 degrees. The sun was a tad brutal even with those temps, but I was in the shade except when I went in the water, which was heated because it was February.

I stayed in May and I could only stay there for 20 minutes despite my GF’s disappointment. It was 99 degrees out at 5pm

The 7 second walk to the pool from my lounge chair singed the soles of my feet for 2 hours. The 96 degree temperature pools didn’t do much to cool them off

    Great TV screens though

Yeah, it was 117 a couple weeks ago. "Sweltering hot" is accurate, but certainly not limited to Stadium Swim.

Yep, which is why my full post said any of the roof top pools.

Was there last Tuesday from 10:30 AM to 2:30PM and the temperature during that time was 100 to 106F. Concrete and other surfaces were very hot upon contact but did not find the heat oppressive or sweltering at least not at those temperatures. The water temp was probably within 15 degrees of the air temp. Did not lay out in the sun. Spent the whole time in the pool except on beer runs as it appeared servers didn't start until 1:00 during the week.

    Why not!
