    • FREE parking always!
    Travel Dates: now - March 31, 2021
    ----------------------------------------------------
I booked a room for the first Night of my October NGO trip $61.23 total and cancellable

I realize that there are only a few days left to book, but these prices make it competitive with QQQQ!

$37.95 a night gives you more money to splurge on a meal at Bazaar meats (see my review in the restaurant section)

Hi @DaiLun Prior to Covid I used Sahara as an overflow hotel for my guests when we were staying on the strip. I kind of liked the place. But a big convenience was the Monorail to connect us. Is the Monorail still down?

I’m actually giving Sahara another shot the 13th and 14th of September. Comp offer that was hard to pass up. I’m hoping things have improved...

In that case, I will employ the strategy that I do at Harrahs Lake Tahoe when I'm on the second floor and going up.

1)Take an elevator down to the first floor and don't get off
2)Ride it back up to your desired floor

In the case of Sahara, I would take an elevator to the highest floor, then ride it back down.

1)Arthritis in my knees make walking DOWN stairs very difficult
    2)It's only one night
    3)I'm in the Marra tower
4)The reservation is cancellable up to 24 hours before arrival.

Wow. Even for free that’s a lot of pre trip planning. But if it works.......the golden balloon....

It was Fourth of July weekend, which I suspect was the main problem. But the line for the Marra tower elevators was 50-60 deep on several occasions. Were the elevators just that slow, were they broken or were they enforcing severe social distancing I don’t know...the Alexandria tower I was in was fine the first night, but a disaster the next.

Well, the comments are making me consider switching. QQQQ and Silverton are available at about the same prices. QQQQ even less!!!

Yeah, so I booked QQQQ and I'm paying less. I remember my last stayt at Sahara when it was SLS. Note that everybody for this (Californians no resort fee) promotion is put into the Marra Tower.

I think QQQQ is a better option, since I have:

    1)$100 FP
    2)$500 in comps
    3)NGO
4)I will be downtown to use up $100 FP at the D and Golden Gate

Good call. I’m apparently a glutton for punishment, or just stupid. Hard to beat free99 though.

Well, IMHO, "free" comes with a cost. The one thing that I "hated" with CET is having to play to "cover my comp" despite having a bad trip. I have been MOST happy under the new terms of taking "pre-paid" or NGO comps.

The October trip will be NGO at QQQQ, and NGO at NYNY.

NGO- Paid room at QQQQ, and NGO - Playstudios comp at NYNY.

I plan to no play Sahara, I have no interest in keeping the offers coming. I understand what you’re saying though.

Wasn’t impressed with Sahara at all. Dumped about 2 grand there in roughly an hour. Casino is tiny and the rooms were very small.

I would go just for the new member reward (10 free play) and my mom new member reward and birthday month reward, but thats about it (in October). Then leave. Sahara is out of the way from all the other casinos around and staying there would not be fun.
