so these were just innocent grandmas putting a nickle in the slot machine?

Of course they arent. They are card counters and the like who happen who have figured that if they get caught, they can get a lawyer to sue the casinos and they will settle.

Might as well just trip and fall in the place.

We knew this already you get caught cheating you get "cheater's justice!" a bash of a hammer on your fingers and Mr Rothstein telling you to scram

These are people engaged in legal activity who are unlawfully imprisoned and assaulted. I think it's a pretty big deal. If the casinos want to pay them their money, tell them they can't come back and arrest them for trespass the NEXT time they see them, fine. But the things he's talking about the casinos doing is shady as hell, and if true they absolutely deserve to pay through the nose.

This is the best thrillest article I've ever read because they mostly let Bob's stories write the article. Most thrillest articles are complete garbage.

Card counting is not cheating or illegal, so if you get backed-roomed in a casino, held there against your will and physically assaulted by a rent-a-cop, you don't think you're entitled to damages? And as for your trip and fall comment, why shouldn't a casino pay for damages caused a a defect in their property that they had notice of? You don't think a property owner has a duty to maintain its premises in a reasonably safe condition?

If you're not doing anything defined and understood as illegal...why not just a tap on the shoulder and be told to cash out and never darken our doorway again? I understand that the casino sees an AP as something they don't necessarily want, so shouldn't they be able to evict you for that cause (no shoes, no shirt, no service...management reserves the right to refuse service for any damn reason we please)? I don't see where you need to rough anyone up. A simple "hey sport, the party's over" should suffice.

Indian casinos are tougher. They’re located on sovereign land, and that pretty much gives them licenses to steal.

Aint that the truth, I know several people here the tribals have basically done that to when it come to paying out jackpots, just one reason I have quit them.
I have really enjoyed listening to Bobs visits to Gambling with and Edge podcast, some of the storys are nearly impossible to believe but you know they are true.
