    My Trip Report

Well, the time has come! My very first solo trip to Vegas and also my very first trip report! Just a quick background, I joined a few months ago and have had a blast reading, replying, and laughing with all of you! You have suggested so many awesome things....From the coffee pot on Amazon to the best pizza places, you all have been extremely helpful! I have been to Vegas 4 times in the past two years, so this isn't my first rodeo!

I'm staying at the Wynn. I stayed there in March and stayed at Encore last year. Honestly, they are basically the same to me, I prefer the Encore rooms, but the Wynn is more conveniently located. I enjoy the gambling at Wynncore because of ambiance, drink service, and comfort all around. However, I have never won anything significant there. With all of the luxuries of Wynncore, don't let that fool you...I love myself some old school Vegas and plan to make that a huge part of my trip!

I'm checking out Mariah Carey at Caesars. Before most of you roll your eyes(because I know there are haters out there)lol I have been a fan since my youth and have made it a point to support Mariah in all her career endeavors! I attended her residency in Vegas in 2016 and it was one of the most fun trips I have ever had. So, I'm hoping to repeat this time! Even plan to meet her after, I will definitely report all those deets when they come!

I plan to play a lot of VP and hit up some fun slots. Even throw some money in the Megabucks for shits and giggles. I have come to the conclusion from reading so many post over the past few weeks, that I need to check out the Top Dollar machines and Kitty Glitter(As long as I get bonus.) I have seen those machines before, but didn't have much interest! Now I know they can be nice wins if they are hot!

I know there is probably more I need to say, but if anything comes up I will surely be back to report. My trip starts today, but my official first night on the Strip is tomorrow! I look forward to sharing with you!

Well, I haven’t decided yet...I plan to grab a bite a Charlie’s while I play VP. I would like to do one night where I have a nicer ambience meal...I was thinking Allegro, Jardin, Sinatra or SW Steakhouse...truth is I would prefer somewhere I can sit at a bar or not feel like a loner by myself!lol Have any suggestions on the best bet at Wynn for casual, yummy and comfortable for one?

Hello! Well finally made it to the strip yesterday evening and wanted to give a quick update!

Checked into the Wynn around 3 and there was no line! Another reason I love this place! I had a little frustration at the front desk, my stupid self handed the woman my debit card instead of my credit card for the hold on the room charge! She couldn’t switch cards because it already processed. Which is fine because I thankfully had money on my debit to cover the room. She said I could cancel it, but with it being Saturday, I doubt it would get returned before Monday..that might not make much sense, but just know I was already frustrated with my luck!lol

Another interesting front desk situation...the woman also said I didn’t have any resort fees so if I wanted WiFi I would have to pay for it...that didn’t make much sense to me considering that the last two times I used this promotion I always paid resort fees and never had issues with WiFi? So I just ignored it and thought, I only really need WiFi to update my trip report on Las Vegas Message Board!lol My cell service is spotty in the room so late last night I went to front desk and asked to add WiFi and said the woman earlier said I didn’t have Resort Fees so I needed to purchase it! She said, can you hold on I’ll be right back. Well she came back and said, “I’m not sure why they told you you don’t have Resort fees because you were charged for them. My manager took all your resort fees off because of the miscommunication. Now my luck was returning! I realized I didn’t need WiFi AND my total room charge was 100.00 less! It boggles my mind that I’m staying at the Wynn for less then I stayed at Flamingo 1 1/2 years ago!

I was with my friend most of the day(who doesn’t gamble) but loves watching me. I didn’t play much, Ultimate VP at Wynn and a few slots and it was awful on every account! I saw a woman winning a nice amount on Buffalo Gold, so I sat down and lost 100!lol that’s how it always goes!

Had lunch at Yardbird at Venitian. I always wanted to try it. I enjoyed it, had the chicken biscuits and Mac and cheese! I would go back. I felt the ambiance was a tad loud and dark...when I think southern food and southern atmosphere I would prefer more bright and white and cozy..but hey that’s just me! Also, Palazzo was still under construction, still lots of walls up. However, I really love the new ambiance. I think their color scheme and vibe really work, it just still feels crammed with walls up. As far as Venitian..idk, it always feels busy and claustrophobic.

Went to Mariah. There was a great crowd and looked about 95% sold, which is always a nice site! As someone who is a longtime fan, I felt like I had seen this show 8 times before(which I have pretty much!lol) If you love classic Mariah, her biggest hits, I recommend it! If you are looking for more deep album tracks and new performances then you will be disappointed! However, not stopping me from going again tonight for my meet and greet!

After concert came back to Charlie’s at Wynn to have late night snack. Ordered Pretzle and Nachos. They were yummy, nothing spectacular, but hit the spot!

It’s obviuosly hot, but that doesn’t bother me. I felt there were decent crowds, no more or less then the last time I came in March. Going to hit pool up today and officially start my solo trip! Thinking maybe walk the westside of the strip! I’ll keep everyone posted!

I would say Allegro is your best bet. I would almost recommend you get the Chef's Tasting Menu, but that's a lot of plates to place on the bar countertop! Otherwise, I've really liked their lobster linguine with red sauce. They might not have it as a special, but I did ask once out of curiosity when it wasn't and they said they could make it for me.

I just love the feeling of the casino at Wynn. We always try to begin there with a few 'classy' drinks before 'slumming it' (tongue in cheek of course' as we move south on the strip. Good luck!

Well Sunday is over and it was a very nice relaxing eventful day!

Woke up, made coffe on my better chef and I have to say it is absolutely perfect! It’s not too slow and makes a hot cup of coffee! Thanks again for the suggestion! I decided to hit the pool up for a few, it was hot as shit as I expected, so I spent most of the time in the pool. Until some unsupervised kids decided to play Marco Polo in the pool and splash their way throughout getting my book went along with another couple trying to enjoy a nice sunny afternoon! My Dad brought me to Vegas when I was 12, hence my obsession with this city now! However, I never understand the mindset to want to bring your kids to this city?! Everytime I see a baby in a stroller at midnight in front of Treasure Island I have to question....lol

After the pool I took a walk to Treasure Island to find the National Lampoons Slots and low and behold they were the first ones I seen coming down the escalator. I first went to sign up for a players card! Put 20 in Lampoons and long story short cashed out 195.00! Was not expecting that good of luck on that machine, but it was the most exciting slot play so far this trip! Got tons of points and a free T-shirt! Good shirt to paint in!:)

I walked to Caesars to get my ticket to Mariah and then came back and had the Impossible Burger at Charlie’s. It was good, I wouldn’t say it was amazing, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Went back to room, took a quick nap and headed to Caesars for Mariah. I’ll save you guys another concert review, but sitting 3rd row makes a hell of a difference. Meet and greet afterwards was nice, extremely quick. Christ I take longer pees then the time I got with MC. But it was a once and a lifetime experience and I’m happy I did it.

Afterwards I came back to Wynn. Played at Encore this time, I forgot how obnoxious walking past the nightclub is! Only one girl was on the ground and they were trying to get her in a wheel chair, other than that it seemed pretty normal!lol

Played Ultimate Poker and it sucked me dry. Couldn’t hit a damn thing! So that’s 2 nights in a row where I haven’t had any luck!

I’m laying in bed, but tempted to throw some shorts on and try again!lol

    Until tomorrow...
