Trips to Las Vegas

Hi everyone,

I have a sort-of impromptu trip this weekend by myself. It was originally going to be about a 20 hour ordeal but I moved my flight and now I'm there friday morning through sunday afternoon. I'm staying at the Plaza for the first time (I've never actually even been inside) and I like to hang out at MSS, cal, 4 queens, GN but this is my first solo trip and first time staying downtown. Does anyone have any recommendations for activites/food/etc for a solo traveler downtown? The only thing I have planned is Cher on Saturday night. Thanks!

Plaza has a pretty good pizza place inside. You can buy it by the slice. Or, walk down to Pizza Rock. Also, Triple George is pretty good as well. Had the chicken parm there.

Chicago Brewing Co. at the 4Q. it is a cozy little hidden gem, good pizza and beer.
Spandex Nation on the free stage on FSE. they are awesome covering 80's big hair bands. I could drink beer and listen to them all night.
what to avoid:
the buffet at the Fremont
Coney Island at the D
hookers

at any rate, have fun and win big. let us know how it turns out.

Second this. Both are right next to each other across from Downtown Grand, about a block off Fremont from the D.

All good tips above.

+1 for spandex nation.
adding to the list:
Hash in the Plaza (everyone seems to love it other than me, so i figured i'd mention it since you are staying there).
777 brewery for food
Nacho Daddy for food
Rush Lounge in the Golden Nugget for cocktails and typically good live entertainment.
Mob Museum for activity.
Blackjack at GG after 7PM (me personal favorite ;) )

Chicago Brewing Co at 4Q is small but lots of TVs and some seats overlooking the casino floor for more to look at when you're solo.
Top of Binion's Steakhouse is good when solo because the view gives you more to look at besides your phone.
Mob Museum is an easy place to spend 3+ hours reading/looking/learning about that kind of history.
Neon Museum is a short ride away.
If it's the weekend on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, the Mint 400 is in town and the race trucks/buggies will be on Fremont St East Friday morning. The race itself is in Primm on Saturday.

The Container Park by the El Cortez is kind of neat especially at night when the giant locust(?) breathes fire.

Thanks! We almost went to top of binions last time we were in town but decided not to. Do you happen to know if they have a bar to sit at? I don't mind dining alone at a bar but at a table is less enticing for me I guess.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! At the airport now. This won't turn into a trip review because I know I can't commit to that but I appreciate everyone's help.

I didn't see one when I was there but I wasn't looking either. I just searched Google Images and found this picture of their bar tho....

Have a fun trip.
