Congrats on getting the trip in and having a good time, some awesome meals, and a meet-up with your friend. Sorry about your lack of luck during the trip.

I need all the luck I can get!

Happy Belated Birthday! Ok, so it has been a year since I've been back, but seriously - WTF is up with $6.50 Sodas??!! Have I just been getting comped so much that this price gouge has escaped me? I will NEVER EVER spend MY hard-earned money on that ridiculousness! My GAWD! You didn't squabble over that missing Mountain Dew? You are a better human than I.

Glad you had a fab trip. Full of ups and downs, but aren't they all? Thanks for sharing!

Interesting that GR Burgr is getting some negative reviews as of the last year or so. Definitely one of my favorite places (the bar anyway, never sat down at a table) in the 2016-2018 timeframe.

Thank you for the TR and Happy Birthday!

Yeah, I actually budgeted around $5 a soda, which was true almost everywhere else. I guess they gotta make up that margin somewhere.

It was hard enough to get the guy to come back to the table at all, let alone to squabble after he rang me up. I didn't review the bill before he took my card, which I take blame for. I let the guy at the Caesar's Rewards desk have it for a minute or two, though, about them not adding points after the fact and how bad the whole meal was . . .which of course made no difference at all but at least I vented to someone. Don't worry, I was still midwesternly polite about the whole thing.

The mountain Dew should have been 'on him' and after my adjusted tip, it would have been.

Happy belated birthday, thanks for a cool read.

I love trip reports where food is the main attraction, especially when it’s steak! (Fun fact: I eat a steak once a day- at least- I’m high maintenance, and keto!)

How much of the $250 was the pedicure?

Agree; I was at GR Burgr in 2018 and had a great meal (I also do love truffle fries). Maybe Gordon needs to "Kitchen Nightmare" his own restaurant? :D

Another thanks for the trip report and more birthday wishes!

Good pick up on that. Might be fun to start a thread on what's the most expensive soda in town. I have a feeling that $6.50 might not make the top 10! I'll go out on a limb ( ;-) ) and say there were no free refills either!

The days of Roberta's at El Cortez with their free ice tea, and unlimited refills with meals are a distant memory now!

Ate there in 2019 and thought the fries and service were good. Burger was ok, but not "wow!". Some of the charging lately makes me wonder if management is pressuring to keep every little thing on bills.

Sounds like a nice trip and thanks for the TR!
Been debating trying HK, might skip until their menu expands.

In regards to the soda! I was playing VP at Bellagio a few years back and the drink service was so sloooow - it was not even busy and like 3 in the afternoon. So I was playing across from the bar near the hotel elevators - cashed out a quick ticket and ran into the bar and asked for 2 diet cokes to take back to my machine - bartender pours two small maybe 10oz with ice and comes back and say $25 I just looked at him and said are you kidding me - he looks back and says do u want them - I said not for $25 - he literally poured them out in front of me and I walked over to the gift shop and got 2 bottles. True story - have not been back to Bellagio since. I was also a RFB player - but was not going to charge $25 plus I’m sure anything under a $5 tip was not ok either - what an asshole! Anyway $12.50 per small pour of Diet Coke at Bellagio bar!
