I just had a quick trip to Vegas, and spent some time gambling at The Orleans. I looked at my card score for those two days online and they are about 1000+ per day more than the coin in I put through(all coin thru was VP or slots). It really jumped out at me because 1 day was in Feb and one day was in March, so each days total was there. I was under the impression that it was one point/dollar at Boyd casinos......are there bonuses for hitting a certain amount of points, like the tier bonus points at TR casinos? I put roughly $4k thru each day, and my point total for each day is well over 5000.
I was not staying there, paid for one buffet each day with points, and did not buy anything else there. What am I missing?

There are point multipliers based on card levels. Sapphire I think is 2x and I know Emerald is 3x if we are talking about slot points. If you are talking about "card score" then $1 in = 1 point. There are some exceptions on some machines that require more coin-in to earn $1.

Haven't played much at Boyd but they also have those "penny lane" bonuses on specific slots where you can win additional free play or points. Perhaps you hit on some of these?

Thanks Joe, I was hoping you would comment...I was talking strictly about the "card score", I realize there can be multipliers on the "slot points", but even with that I am a Ruby, so no mutilpiers there, and I played during the new and improved (snort!) Young at Heart Day, so no multipliers for this out of towner for that day.
I suppose it is possible that the daily total shown on the screen is not entirely accurate?

Card score is what is used to calculate tier correct? And the multipliers don't affect that? The multipliers are for points to spend as comps?

Did you play any tables? That may be the only variable thing I can think of.
