I'm not going to Vegas this weekend...

...but a guy in my office is. He left a couple hours ago--on the exact same flight I took in March, but I'm sure that *his* flight won't be delayed by snow in Cleveland.

Anyhow, his weekend in Vegas will certainly be a little different than mine usually are. He's going with his mom and the focus of this trip is to check out the Star Trek attractions at the Hilton. Oh yeah, good times...

I got him primed up today--I sent him a link to my July of 2002 trip report (the one where me and Eddie basically never left Binions for 3 days straight...), and he spent his morning reading it instead of working. And I wrote him up some notes on stuff to avoid and other stuff to see. He's got the fever.

Anyhow...I'd love to be out there this weekend watching the activities at the WSOP, but instead, I'll be here in Nashville, wondering if it will ever stop raining.

Do you know if they are going to televise the WSOP live this weekend? I'm tired of watching and re-watching last years!!

Although being there in person would be so much better!

My understanding was that ESPN would edit their stuff and begin showing it in June? If you need an immediate fix, there's wiggly home-movie shots of the final tables here. It makes you feel like you're there... and unsteady on your feet, and having trouble focusing.

Yeah, the 2004 will be shown in June. I will be in Vegas next weekend and will see the first 2 days of the WSOP.
