In July I booked my airfare for Vegas. I planned to go at the end of October for a week. In preparation, I began reading this messageboard daily. Day by day, my excitement grew. The more I read, the more excited I became. Last night I couldn't take it anymore. I called the airline and extened my stay for another week. Now I will be in my favorite city for two weeks. I need to stop reading and just get there, LOL!

Way to go! Other than winning, I find that the hardest thing is deciding how many days I want to be there. (Ten days coming up and probably another 7 or 8 in December.)

    Have a great trip!

Who are you referring to? I notice the OP lists 45 trips to Vegas, while I list 85. I suspect that anyone who's been that many times (not to mention other gambling related trips), must have money to burn or might be fairly good minimizing risk. With me, it's definitely not the former! You're right though – I've seen gamblers lose their entire bankroll in less than the first hour! :D

Thanks all for the good wishes. I have learned over the years to stay on budget. I have X amount per day and that is it. There are ways to slow down the speed at which I gamble. Friends have dragged me kicking and screaming into bingo, taking gambling lessons (thank goodness I am a slow learner), playing keno or Pai Gow poker. All these work somewhat. I do have a rental car so I go sight seeing, shopping or just explore new back roads. Sitting in a restaurant near the casino floor and watching the people also works. People can be very interesting. I've had many great trips, some medioca trips and a few costly trips. I am hoping this is one of the great trips. I have learned that the machines have a cash out button. Imagine that, a cash out button, who knew!
No matter how often I go, there always something new to see or do. Vegas is like a giant cameleon, always changing.
I fly from the East Coast and the flight is exhausting but the minute I see the lights and we touchdown, I am energized. Good luck all and thanks again.

You're welcome. That's what we are here for. :wink2:

2 weeks sounds great if you do it the relaxation route. Pools, shows, spas... Not booze, gambling, booze, booze and waffles at 4am. :) I'm going for a week and I can't figure out how I will survive.

I have nothing against waffles, in general. In fact, I've been known to drunkenly shout out that someone needs to bring me waffles NOWWWWW!!! :)

It's all the booze, booze, booze & booze and then capping it off with a giant waffle when many people are getting up to go to work that has proven to be my undoing more than once in Vegas.

I'm sorry for any influence I passed on. Gambling is one of those areas where you can earn a lot of money is short order. The best part is that it's mostly legal.

    Good Luck!
