Hunter! Welcome back! Thanks for setting up my next trip, probably more excited for this one than any before it, even if it won't be blistering hot.

Only question: can you make the Canadian dollar go back up? This $1.35 stuff is really bumming me out

Hello there, though we don't know each other :)
Question: I'm receiving very generous comp room offers through calendar, booked some already for next year however I don't get any offers at all. Why this can be? I'm not US based, coming from EU, maybe is that the case? Many thanks :)

Hunter, it may not always seem like it but we really do appreciate you on this board. I'm mostly an MLIFE player and I still enjoy hearing your insight as a host.

Just remember for a lot of people its hard to express themselves in posts without coming off hostile when they really probably don't mean to be so harsh. The printed word is not second nature for most us.

As mentioned earlier, some posts here are not always "written well". Appreciate Hunter being here.

BUT - I have to wonder who thinks mailing out a $10 offer will really get someone to come in. I had once gotten FP offers in the hundred$$. My less frequent visits now means I get $10 and $20 coupons. I find them insulting and don't bother. Signed - 8 year Diamond.

There's been a CET miracle! I have FINALLY received free play booster offers for November and December after months and months of receiving NONE.

My original free play offers before the cuts were $700 free play with 5 free nights. After the cuts, and before I stopped getting them at all, my offers were $400 free play with 5 free nights. My November/December offers have had the nights cut to only 3 (which doesn't bother me because I pretty much only go for 2 nights anyway), but my free play has been RAISED to $625! Still, not back where it was before the cuts, but definitely much better.

There was no "play" reason for my offers to stop coming as my ADT was always $1000 - $1300+ and MDV $1600 - $1800+, so they must be experimenting. I go often, so I guess maybe they thought they didn't have to give me anything to get me to come in and play. That doesn't work for me. If I'm going to risk my money gambling, I want some up front free play to get me there. Period. I've given CET $690k coin in on video poker so far this year, but they've lost $823k that I've done elsewhere due to their "experimentation".

I know I'm not a huge player (losing my play isn't going to send them into bankruptcy - pun intended), but if a lot of players take their play elsewhere things could get even worse for them.

I will use these offers, but it's going to take a lot more than this to regain my trust... and my loyalty is definitely gone for good.

To the people who think we're just being negative -- even though I gamble for entertainment, I take risking my money seriously. When I give my business to a company I expect certain things from them. When those expectations are consistently met, I'm a happy customer, win or lose, but when they just change everything AFTER we've already invested and basically just slap us in the face, I believe we have reason to be negative. I know I certainly couldn't crap on my customers, like I feel CET has to us, without major negative backlash. CET should have expected plenty of negative backlash!

It's not just CET that does those $10 offers though, it's all casinos. I give some of my local casinos decent play and get shitty mailers all the time. Casino Rama is a 2 hour drive from me and I get $10-$20 vouchers all the time. Doesn't even pay for the gas. Seneca in buffalo is 1.5 hours from me and I have to cross the border and I get $10 from them on a weekly basis. I think pointing the finger at CET isn't necessary because all of these casinos and companies are doing the same things.

I was just looking for clarification. Previously, my host had told me if I didn't play with my card after 6am, or took a comp meal, check out day does not count as a gaming day. I recently heard from another host that CET had changed their policy(he was speaking to another guest, not me). Check out days counts as a gaming day when a comp room is involved.

I fully understand that Hunter is not creating policy. But if you are holding yourself out as a CET Executive Casino host, I would hope that you would answer questions honestly. If a question is something you don't want to or feel you can't answer.........then don't. I appreciate that Hunter is on VMB answering questions. Sometimes it just easier to ask a question on VMB them to track down my host.

To me, I'm not concerned about trip theo and backend comps. ADT drives offers, If the change was made of as of July 1 (as an example) I can understand why my offers are reduced. Yes, I know everyone's CET offers are down this year.....mine included. My September offers are20% of a year ago (with play the same or higher) without a regular "booster" free play offer. The change of offers could even be the result of some sort of CET matrix/algo. What I wasn't expecting was a "does it really matter" answer. Everyone operates under the same policies, so obviously I know it's not just me

It absolutely DOES matter. And it's simply not true that all of them count check-out day as a gaming day. There's even one casino in Vegas that if you stay/play 3 days they actually SUBTRACT one day to come up with your average!

Adding check out day is just another way for them to cut our ADT down more so they don't have to give us as much. This tactic isn't used just by CET, that is definitely true, as most casinos are trying to figure out ways to make more/give less, but let's all just be honest about it!

BTW, I've mentioned this in the past, but I'll do it again -- back in 2008 when I played mostly at Silverton and Excalibur I got my theo info every trip from my hosts. Silverton's average was 4%+ of coin in on video poker and Excalibur's was around 5% of coin in on video poker. I don't play at those places anymore, but the places I play where I'm getting my daily theo are now 2%, sometimes a tiny bit more or less.

We all know that everything is based on theo -- offers/front end comps and back end comps (but now even win/loss seems to be coming into play sometimes).

How much more can things get cut before savvy gamblers stop gambling altogether?

Yeah, presumably the 3 nights is just how long they want you to stay to get that much FP.

Awesome, GChrome! It's about time they threw us a bone. lol I'm sure a host could extend the nights, too.

Nevyn -- Offers require a minimum 2 night stay now, so the 3 night thing isn't a requirement.

He is alive. This next trip that you helped me with is going to be great. But, I might have made a mistake of buying some stock. Since we're going to break the bank at the craps table. ;)

Now to play enough to get some of my food taken off. What kind of play do you need to start getting stuff charged to your room taken off? Looking more for table play than slots. But, I'll end up doing both I'm sure. What can I say, I'm a degen. And, thanks for being an enabler. :evillaugh

I don't have exact dates or answers for this one other than I do know there are plans to begin upgrading rooms at several of our properties. Once I hear more concrete details I'll be sure to communicate them. Yes, the companion card is used to use all diamond benefits, and your Mrs, will technically be a diamond in our system.

The way the system is set up, we don't have offers for international customers. That is why most international teams offer special deals based on regional affiliation. Unfortunately for our British brethren, you all kinda get left out, so when looking to book reach out to me first and I'll see what we can do custom. For US domestic customers, it is offers as is. The calendar rates and comps are based on an entirely different system.

There are several groups who's offers will see changes like you have. The one thing not to worry about is the number of days. If your play is strong enough to get 625 in free play, any number of additional nights is able to be covered using host comped nights.

Lik I mentioned in earlier posts, don't worry about the number of days, if you are getting that level of free play hosts can comp the remaining nights. In fact with blackout dates, a lot of times the offer only covers one night of a 5 day or so trip and I just comp the remaining nights.

It's so tough to tell, I normally don't answer this question because there are so many factors involved such as room or suite type, time in action, what game you are playing, how you are betting that game, etc, etc. If you are in town and want to know real time where you are at as far as comp space, feel free to email me I'll let you know where you stand.

Craps Extravaganza P-A-R-T-Why? Cause I Gotta!

Hey folks coming to the craps event, got the thumbs up to throw a little party at Ringers before the table time begins. I'll work out some details with the ring leaders of the group but opening up the bar and throwing wings at your faces sounds like an awesome time.
