If you was going to spend one night downtown in a Boyd casino which would it be?

If you was going to spend one night midweek downtown in a Boyd owned casino which one would you choose?

Since MSS is closed and Fremont rooms (if you dont get a recently remodeled one) are garbage, I highly recommend the Cal. Really enjoyed my stay there. Recommend a premium room as its a tad bigger. I was solo so it didnt matter but even if I went with my fiance and brought a single checked bag, I think we'd still fit good. Its def not a room to party but in but its clean, was remodeled in 2017, and has a nice bathroom with a shower instead of a tub. Didnt have any complaints and would easily stay again.

The only option is the Cal under your scenario. The rooms are fine, I just don't have any desire to play there anymore.

Cal... from what I know. I've never been a huge fan of the Boyd "vibe" and even less so after the thrashing the Boyd "faithful" seem to have given the company here, but seems like Cal has the best rooms.

If MSS was open, that one. I've got comped rooms at Fremont next month. I chose them over Cal because I like that end of Downtown.

Cal for me. Nice clean rooms and away from the noise on Fremont.

This. And slightly better food options if you're there on Thursday so Redwood is open.

If not free 4queens golden nugget not McDonald’s end in south tower as high as you can get. It’s less than 40$ no resort fee and probably a better deal than that. :)
If traffic was still on Fremont it was like 40cents an hour…..like 13$ for:( 24 hours. ….sleep in the car…..

Currently downtown stayed at Cal Sat, and my favorite casino when DT the Freemont sun-thursday, the new rooms at The Freemont are nice, and I appreciate the refresh, but it is noisy. Currently MSS is closed, the Cal is nice, but I really like to casino hop and the walk is better. Noise sucks unless you get a room in the right spot, but due to renovation floors above 5 are closed today and not much selection. Buffets are closed at both. Crowd is usually calmer at Cal, Freemont can get a bit iffy. Limits for tables are at the 10$ range here most days, and $15 at cal if doing dice. Both appeared to have $10 blackjack available.

Get an odd room far away from the elevators. No noise. Handicapped accessible room is 01. Not a problem just what it is.

Circumstance? Solo. couple or a couple of guys. Plan on a lot of time at Circa or do you want to bounce around Fremont. Rooms at the Fremont get trashed but aren't that bad for a night. The negative compared to the Cal is no fridge.

I'm starting to think that we need to stop directing people to the newly remodeled rooms at the Fremont.
I don't want them to be sold out.

MSS has been our home for the last 25+ years, but we switched to rooms at Cal after they remodeled. Still do the majority of our gambling at MSS (when open) but the remodeled rooms are nice at Cal. Walk-in showers, no stepping into a tub for a shower and bigger rooms.
