Worth it. Just get a massage for a few hours every day since it's only like ~$15-25 USD/hour. Just make sure you go to a legitimate place like Health Land. The hospitality of the people and the food just makes it better. Might as well visit other parts of SE Asia while you're there like Laos and Vietnam.

Almost any place warm when it is winter in Chicago. No particular area. As long as it does not have winters like Chicago. I hate snow. I like the change of seasons and do not need 85 degrees everyday.

I haven't been too many places around the US, but somewhere on the beach for sure. It's beautiful up and down the coast of California but I love how warm the water is down by San Diego. I also love the forested areas near the coastal side of Washington state, I imagine Oregon would be nice as well.

A house in some remote area, perhaps the Sierra or Rockies.
And an apartment either San Francisco or Vancouver, BC.

    frequent travel.

That lakeshore home that the Corleone's lived in on Lake Tahoe in 'Godfather Part Two'.

This is similar to my wife and my dream. We always say if we won the lottery we would buy land and set up the best and largest miniature Schnauzer Rescue in the US. Kind like a Schnauzer Palace/compound.

I live west of South Point and I had a conversation with my buddy as we were driving to our hockey game and it came to the topic of what would we do if we had Jeff Bezos money. I told him that I would buy the Southpoint Casino for myself for a few cool billions and still have money left over. The entire casino would be my home. I would renovate the top floor as one large master suite. I would have my own casino, bowling alley, movie theater(s) etc to do as i please. I would not need to go anywhere. Screw a castle, I want a casino. If I had his money, this is what i'm doing.

But to the question at hand with 50 million:
    1) I am buying this and building on it. Should be 10-12 can be built on it, but i'm building my own home and keep my privacy.

    2) I am buying this land, 26,000 acres.

I have thought about this alarmingly much :D

I’m not staying where I live now. It’s a great place for working class people, middle class people,… but not for the very rich (not in a tax way or something, but people have no sympathy for rich people is my finding over her). I’m going to be very bad at hiding it (looking at you, Ferrari parked next to my Escalade parked next to my Rolls), so I’ll go to a luxury hotel whenever in my home country.

I’ll buy 3 houses, and yes, that’s against the rules that said 2 :D

    - Giant modern (think white, lots of glass, swimming pool, some may call it sterile) villa in Ibiza.
    - Giant modern (think the same) villa in the vicinity (30 min drive max) of Las Vegas
    - Modern penthouse in New York City

And, of course, I’d travel like h*ll, but in a very expensive way. High end resorts, exclusive destinations, first class or chartered planes,…

I wonder how fast many of us would blow through $50 mil.

By the time I win $50 mil, that'll be the median price of a home in San Francisco Bay. Seems like it's approaching half that now

Honestly, I think it would be an every few years in a few different places kinda thing for us. Buy in a few spots, then sell and go somewhere else. Rinse, repeat.

‘There’s legit massage parlors in Thailand? I assumed they were all happy endings places, and I assumed they were around the prices you mentioned. I guess I shouldn’t assume.

NYC is great to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there. As a limo driver from NJ, I’m there almost every day. It’s crowded, noisy as hell, and under the current mayor, not as nice as under Bloomberg. Even under Bloomberg I wouldn’t want to live there.

I haven’t seen anyone mention Dubai. Is it because there’s no casinos there? It’s on my bucket list to visit, I looked out of curiosity, probably due to Covid, but this past February I was finding airfare and 5 star hotels for $2000 per person for a week. The airfare was out of JFK.
