I ended up just staying in my room for the Steelers-Ravens game with good ol' Captain Morgan and a 2-litre A&W. Steelers lost 26-14 but I hit the 2nd leg of my parlay for an $18 payout. My LVA coupon for $5 free play for every 100 pts. was still valid so I went down to the Vue Bar again.

These were 2 highlights of my brief visit. Note the 5th card in each:

I spotted a Wheel Poker game I had never played near the Vue Bar. I threw a couple of $20s in and a few hands later I got dealt 3 threes playing triple-play Deuces Wild and it triggered the wheel. Then this happened: 20181001_120231.jpg
    20181001_120245(1).jpg

I cashed out after about 5 hands because, well, I never Hit-and-Run enough! I just realized I never even set foot in Binion's this trip. So I went over there to the bar, and ordered a 7&7 because, well, I never drink those enough. And that's what Tony Manero drank in Saturday Night Fever.
    Some very good hits:

I wandered a bit more before turning it in about midnight.
Tomorrow (Monday 10-1) the Brewers play the Cubs in the NL Central tie-breaker. I'm going to watch that downtown, then do another Strip run because I didn't go to Ellis Island on Friday.

Monday I had to check out of The D and into my Golden Gate suite. It's the second time they comped me one. And now that Boyd has made their changes, I could certainly get used to staying at either or both exclusively in the future. For breakfast we used Terry's LVA 2/1 coupon for the Fremont buffet. Adequate is the best word I could use to describe it.
I watched most of the Brewers-Cubs in my suite at the Gate. Same type of suite I had in January, different room number. Here's a quick video:

We watched the last 3 innings in the D's sportsbook. The Brewers won, and won the division! Terry had a bet on the Brew Crew to win, so he collected right away, and I went off to play at the Boar's Head bar one last time at least for this trip. Oleg was working, but the lovely Crystal was off.

Only 1 quad in about an hour of play.

The scratcher was $2, of course. Over the years I've gotten 3 or 4 $3 ones, and 1 $5. But I did drink 3 Black Chips, which is my favorite there, and doubled my buy-in. $20 in, $40 out.

My plan now is to do a Strip run to Hooters and Ellis Island to use their good ACG and LVA offers, which I didn't do on Friday. It's about 4:30 now so I bought an $8 24-hour RTC pass so it would be good for tomorrow before my flight leaves at 4:05pm. The WAX drops off between the Trop and Hooters so it's only a 2 minute walk to either. I played their .25 9/7 Double Bonus with my $10 ACG free play with no big wins. I then wanted to sit at the Sports book bar to watch the Chiefs-Broncos game, but every seat was taken. So I went to the Saloon where there was plenty of room at their bar, put $40 in, and loaded up the LVA $10 free play as well.

I played .50 instead of my usual .25 with a stellar result about 10 hands in:

This followed a few hands later:
    20181001_175937.jpg
    Which resulted in this:
    20181001_180329.jpg

Now THAT'S a hit-and-run!! I was only there about a 1/2 hour. I even won my $10 ACG match play on craps, but lost the $10 LVA when I busted on a 15 with a 9 against the dealer's 9.

Before hitting Ellis Island I walked the west side if the Strip to NY NY and City Center. A report on that and my final trip wrap-up will be written tonight after I finish work.

I walked out of Hooters, and stopped in front of the Trop and saw this:

It was very awe-inspiring. People were looking up and gasping and recording it, as did I:

I got to NY NY and signed up for an M Life card. Went to the Center bar and played a little bit. I had it up to 300 credits, and cashed out at 200, a nice little win. And I did hit this along the way:
    20181001_184623.jpg

After that I walked through Park MGM and I was underwhelmed. Got to the Cosmo and was OVERwhelmed. I actually got lost(!) and had to ask directions to the northernmost entrance closest to the Bellagio. I had gone into that entrance 5-6 times over the years, but never out that way, LOL. Finally made my way to Bally's without stopping to play anywhere. I got to Ellis Island, jumped through all the hoops for the ACG and LVA coupons, played a bit, got a t-shirt, and finally had the $7.99 sirloin steak. I ordered it well done, and it was delicious as always.

After Ellis Island I walked to Stage Door. It was BUSY! I've never been there at 10:30 pm though. Only morning and afternoon visits over the years. No seats open at the bar, so I stood while I had 2 Michelobs and left after 20 mins. Made my way to the Linq and sat at Tag bar. I like the renovation in the Sports Book area. It's the 1st time sitting at a CET bar top with the monitored drinks, and I had no problems being served with the light system. As I leaned over at various times, I think the green light was never not on. The bartender, Adrian, was very friendly and talkative. Nice guy. From Chicago. I had a Brewers shirt on and he congratulated me on the win over the Cubs. Then a very good-looking female came up behind me and asked me if I wanted a massage! Startled me. Turns out she was an employee. I said "No thanks."

I sat there about an hour and 1/2. It's about midnight now, and I got on the SDX at Harrah's and headed back downtown with a medium buzz. It's my last night, and I don't want to tie one on.

Okay, finally I'll do a wrap-up! After I got back to the GG, I played the new 8/5 .25 Bonus with the 3-way progressives. Not even a quad in about an hour. Headed to the bar, and one last session of ACE$. No quads there either in about a 1/2 hour. Well, that was a quick $80, but the Captain & Cokes were strong. I got another proposition from a young lady at the bar who at first looked familiar. Nice early-thirties looking. Dark hair. Hispanic. I thought she was one of the dealer/dancers. But she said no, and I really think management wouldn't like that anyway. I declined after she told me how much. She did give me her number for a future encounter if I'm "up" for it.

Finally hit the hay about 2 am. Got up about 8 and met Terry at the Main Street buffet for breakfast. We got done there about 9:30. I went back to the room and relaxed until about 1pm. Tidied up my stuff and the room. My flight leaves at 4:05 so I just wandered around and said goodbye to some of my favorite downtown workers.

Terry called and met me at the WAX stop at Binion's at about 2 and said goodbye. He's got one more night so he was off to make a ton of sports bets. I got to McCarran in plenty of time, TSA was a breeze and the flight left on time. My connection in Denver went without a hitch and I got back to Milwaukee at 11:45 pm about 20 minutes early.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I think I'm through with Boyd except maybe a little play at Boar's Head, and using the ACG and LVA coupons. I played very little at the Fremont and none at the Cal. And my visit at the Orleans and Gold Coast was brief as well. We'll have to see if I get any offers for January when I'll go out next. I hope I played enough at the El Cortez, and I certainly played enough at the D and Golden Gate for future comped rooms.

I ended up actually winning about $280 for the trip, and that's always good.

So long Las Vegas until January and the AFC/NFC title games!

I am glad you got a picture of that, I saw that as I was driving to the airport Monday around 4:30pm. It was wild looking, but we turned off too soon to get a good look.
