It's now Saturday morning. Yesterday was my Strip coupon run. Terry & I started at Circus Circus for their Win Cards chip promo. $45 for $30. I played 21 for about an hour and 1\2 and ended with a $5 profit. Their tables are 6/5 (yeah, I know) but I didn't get any blackjacks anyway. But I drank 6 Heinekens. That'll teach 'em. It's now Saturday night, and I'm really taking it easy with the gambling and drinking today! It was kind of a late one with my Strip run yesterday. I'm using my $25 food credit at the D Grill and they're out of prime rib!?!

It was nice to meet up with @stumerrian and @eliza this afternoon at Chicago Brewing. Great conversation you two! And thanks for covering the meal and tip. I tried. I really did. :)
Here are a few more pics from my Strip visit: 20180928_162450.jpg My nephew Rafael and me at Circus Circus.

Well, I just got home about an hour ago and it looks like I'll do a post-trip wrap up including lots of pics later today (Wed). My kudos to any and all members who do live/semi-live trip reports! I'm just too busy when I'm out there.

I'm going to backtrack to Friday on the Strip. My nephew who I thought still worked at the High Roller gift shop, is now "between jobs". He's now a Lyft driver. He stopped in at Circus Circus and dropped me off at Casino Royale (a free ride, no charge!) I then took the Boyd shuttle to Gold Coast. I went to the booth and they bestowed upon me a brand spankin' new Ruby card! I was Sapphire level for about a year in '15-'16 and that card still worked, but Lady Grumpelstiltskin at the booth saw the need for a new one. A good hit there: 20180928_185425.jpg

Lost my $10 match play at 21, but walked out of Gold Coast a $25 winner and slightly buzzed. Sports bartenders at GC are great. Took the shuttle to the Orleans. Their slot lady checked my ID and gave me a little 6-pack cooler with Bud in it! She's from Milwaukee too! :)

I won both of my $10 match plays at Orleans. I usually play 21 or roulette for those, but I tried craps this time. Shooter rolled back to back 11s so $20 to the good. Coupled with the VP wins I escaped with about $150 and unexpected free beer! On to Casino Royale.

I like Casino Royale's bar. My favorite spot on the Strip. 20180928_235319.jpg

20180929_203753.jpg I had planned on going to Ellis Island for dinner and all their great coupon offers, but I was just too tired and drinking too much. Time to head back downtown.

Interesting. But what are those premium quad and royal meters set at? 0.01%? Haha

    SF doesn't look bad though.

Hope to read more wins in the recap!

I didn't play it. I think there was a bank of 4 facing the bar in the middle of the casino next to a pole. Actually, no one was playing any of 'em. So, the meters weren't moving at all.
Slots-A-Fun is a SAD shell of its former self. I just walk through(and never play) every trip. I didn't even see a cocktail waitress walking around.

I got back DT and I wanted to play a bit at the Vue Bar anyway even though I was beat. I called Terry while walking toward the D and he was already there. Jason was working, but I just drank 7-Ups. These helped the bankroll a bit:

Terry got in on the action as well with this:

Oops. I just realized these may be out of sequence by the amount of the progressives.
Anyway, after this I was pooped. I wanted to get up early Sunday because the Packers play at 10am.

Sunday I got up about 7 and sat at the D's pool and relaxed for about an hour and 1/2. After that I went to the Plaza and used my LVA and ACG coupons. I won my $25 match play on bj when I got dealt a 20 and the dealer had an A up. Two other people at the table took insurance (which I never do in table 21). Dealer didn't have a 10 value. Dealer did have an 8 so I won that one. Then I used the $10 match play on the next hand, but lost. I busted on a 14 with a 9 against a dealer 8.
Then I sat at the Sportsbook Bar for Bloody Marys and VP.
    Three nice hits there: 20180930_093539.jpg

It was almost 10 so I went back to The D and to the slot club to use the LVA $5 free play for every 100 pts. coupon. I parked at the Longbar so I could see many games.
My view for the early games: 20180930_100503.jpg
Marco was keeping my Bloody Mary cup full as well.
A few good ones there: 20180930_104004.jpg

Then, Derek and Nicole Stevens themselves took the 2 vacant seats on my right to watch the Lions' game!:

I had met Derek a few times over the past few years and Nicole once. He's usually holding court at the end of the Longbar. Great people, although Nicole kind of chain-smoked. They said they were going to the Golden Knights' game at T-Mobile later Sunday night. After enough Bloody Mary liquid courage I asked Derek if I could sit in the luxury suite with them. After he laughed he said "No. Nice try." with a big smile. I pointed at Nicole and asked "Can she stay here then?" and they both laughed!

I had a $5 parlay for the Packers covering 9.5 and the under 50.5 for the Steelers-Ravens on Sunday night. Pack won 22-0 so I'm 1/2 way there.

I don't do a lot of sports betting, and when I do, it's just $5 or $10 bets.

A couple more at the Longbar:

I was getting hungry and I decided it was time to burn my final bridge with Boyd so I went to the booth at the Fremont and got my $19.00 cash back and $12 in food credit and I ate at Lanai Cafe. I like the $6.99 Chinese combo. That, 2 shrimp cocktails at .99 each, and a big Diet Pepsi ate up the $12.

Time to chill in the room and watch the late games.

Sarcasm with the ACE$ comment? :)
I happen to like it. It's the game I mostly play when at the Longbar or GG Prohibition Bar. I know I could play 8/5 at Fremont but I'm Boydcotting from now on.

Terry called me after the Packers won. He was upstairs at the Vue Bar. But first as I was getting one last Bloody Mary, I put a $10 in the tip glass. Marco saw this, and looked at me like I just saved his life. (I also tipped a buck for each of the 8 Bloodys he made for me during the game.) Then just before I hit the ticket-out I rebuffed the advances of a VERY aggressive young lady with an already-lit ciggie who apparently thought I was handsome enough for her. She looked mid-to-late 20s. Dirty blonde. Not bad. Among the things she said were "Hi! I'm Amber." "You winning?" "You wanna party?" "Where ya staying?" "I love older guys." My answers were "Hey." "Treading water." "Not right now." "Not here." "I like younger women." The last one as she ran her right hand through my hair!!! I said "Hey Honey!! I don't know where that hand has been! But I can only imagine."

Well, that got her to move on down the bar a few seats to another potential "client". Marco saw this, and asked me if I wanted security. I laughed and said "Nope."

Now, don't get me wrong. I love getting hit on by women 1/2 my age or younger in LV. Does that make me a creep? No. It's flattering. And yes, I know it's all part of the 'Vegas thing. But a Type-A hooker just turns me off sometimes. Especially one that smokes.

After my Fremont visit I relaxed in the room. The Steelers play the night game and I'm not sure where I'll watch that. Sunday night and Monday's highlights to follow in my next post.
