I think I was rated incorrectly (in a good way)

I played at a local casino craps, $25/hand on the pass line and no other bets (other than odds sometimes)

I havn't been back and its been 2 months, I got an offer in the mail $250 freeplay, 3 nights in a suit, and $250 dining credit. (this seems awesome, but I dont think my play earned it)

is it possible that they put some random Whales play under my name as a mistake? Should I take the 3 nights in a suite and the freeplay and the food comps? I cant really see myself playing more than 1 or 2 greens a throw in craps.

Why not take it? It's not like they are gonna throw you out after a night if you're not betting to their liking!

I think sometimes a pitboss forgets to tag you out when you leave. maybe someone took your spot after you left and didn't have a player card, so the pit boss didn't notice the switch, so all that play was under your card. There's no way you would get in trouble for taking the comp and using it.

Another thing to note is that pit bosses and dealers don't know or care if you're staying using comps. So don't feel pressure to play any different or feel like you'll be exposed for playing your normal way. There's a monopoly community chest card called "Bank Error in Your Favor. Collect $200". You just landed on it

    Enjoy the freebies.
It is usually the other way around .
Worst that can happen is you don't get another offer like that.

I say take the offer and make it count. Maybe you can convert the $250 FP into something good and then give them some play to justify future good offers. You never know

Take advantage of the offer and their mistake if they made a mistake. Good luck. :)

Use the offer, play at your normal level. It will all equal out at end.

This could also be a Corona Comp Special. Like hey we got a guy who came in during the pandemic, played greens for the whole time he played and left. Let's get him back for 3 nights and hope we get something out of it. Best case, they are rating you correctly and that's a normal offer for you going forward (seems unlikely since on a 25 dollar bet, your theoretical loss is .35 cents per roll.) Worst case they are hoping you are a bigger player and will play more than this for longer since you don't have to go home.

Or they hope you might bring a spouse, bf, gf, literally anyone else who will play for 3 days with you. Or that the free play will drive you to slots for a while where they can make back there money more quickly.

Whatever it is, enjoy it, but don't worry about trying to earn it again. Play naturally and see what happens.
