Never knew there was such a thing. Sorry, no pics, it was in the next lane.

    What's next, a Lamborghini SUV?

They have been out for a while. The only cool thing is the logo on the steering wheel. The point of a Porsche is performance driving. Hard to make those curves with the soccer team in the back. Makes no sense to me.

I have a Porsche Macan S. It is there new smaller SUV. The Cayenne has been out for many years. I think Tony Soprano owned one.

I have loved Porsche since the 70's and when I was able to buy one in 2012 I bought a 911S and it is a wonderful vehicle. I drove it for 2 years and with my bad knees it was hard to get in and out of because it was so low to the ground. So I traded it in for a Macan it is still very sporty, comfortable and fun to drive and still pretty fast. I love it. Almost all of the luxury brands now have an suv in there lineup because of suv popularity.

It was his wife's car. She used to call it the cayenne like the pepper.

I was behind a Maserati SUV earlier today. Have to imagine it's a bit pricey.

Driving back to Columbus from DC last weekend..... stopped for fuel in the middle of no where Maryland when a Jaguar SUV pulled up next to me. I had no idea Jaguar made an SUV. FYI...both the vehicle and driver were very attractive.

Almost bought (leased) the Macan S last year - just slightly out of my price range at the time - It's "only" about 8-10k over my Acura RDX. One of the nicest SUVs I've ever sat in...

Sales of street cars go to funding racing. R&D gained from racing goes to making fancier street cars and the cycle continues. That, and "street" cars help lower the emissions requirements for any given car company. Ferarri gets away with gas gusslers cause of Fiat. Porsche gets away with the 911 and that caliber of car cause of the boxster and Macan, etc... All of this can change with the current white house obviously, but fuel efficiency and emissions are calculated across an entire line and they need to hit certain marks to comply.

That and these cars (boxster, macan, etc...) are gateway cars. Same as BMW 1 and 3 series cars. Get the doctors and dentists and lawyers and such fresh out of college into one of your cheaper cars; get brand loyalty and hope they come back later when their more established to get an M or 5 series or Cayman or 911 or etc... I know people that have only and will only drive BMWs or Mercedes or Porsches. Dealers treat them well and they keep going back for more, lease after lease.

That porsche Cayenne Turbo-4S can smoke almost any street car with ease..I'd love to see a race between a Cayenne Turbo-4S and a Tesla X-P100D

We test drove the Jag SUV last year when my husband was shopping. Nice drive but a little bland.

The brands also have sedans, which for some reason amuses me more than racing car brands having SUV models. Not sure why.

PS Watch Top Gear. They always have the "premium" brand models on - sports car, sedans, SUVs etc. Had a really cool Russian SUV (almost a tank hybrid!) on this series.....
