Before the pandemic, I use to go to my local Supercuts, since I got to know one of the stylists who worked there. She always did a nice job styling my hair. Although between visits, I use to trim my own hair to save a few $$ so I didn't have to go in as often. Although when they had to shutdown due to CV-19, I started to cut my own hair and it's been working out okay, so far. LOL

I haven’t had a haircut since the middle of June.

I’m getting a haircut on Wednesday!!
I’m also scheduled for a root re-touch, hilights, and a pedicure.

I also get my eyebrows done the same day. (Different place)

After that I should be all set through October.

State enacted mandatory masks just started.
    I’m ok with wearing them!

Everything I have scheduled makes it a really long appointment.
I’m thinking I might just get the root retouch only and call it a day.

Evidence shows that extended periods of time in an enclosed space is a key in the transmission of COVID. Just something to keep in mind.

I've been getting haircuts about every 3 weeks. The last "safe" one was on March 5 and barber shops closed shortly thereafter. They reopened a couple months later, but I decided the risk wasn't worth it. However, by May 20th I couldn't stand it anymore, caved in, and posted my "experience" on the "Got a haircut today - 1st since November" thread, #24.

I ordered an electric hair trimmer the same day. I paid through nose, but as you can imagine, such things are in short supply unless you want to wait months. I never used one before, but am getting much better at it and not sure I'd go for a "real" haircut if the virus suddenly disappeared. The haircut, safety, cost savings, and convenience can't be beat. Getting the hair trimmer was one of my better decisions.
