Everything about your trip was fun to follow along. Especially like the close relationship and interactions you have with your mil. Glad she had good luck on the slots. Your dinners were scrumptious looking! Thanks for taking us along.

Directions to Top Dollar at Ballys? (Pretty please with sugar on top!). If all goes well on SW flight, I should be checking into Ballys around 11 Sunday night.

My favorite hotel is Paris, however my play-up freeplay offer is not available there this time.

    Paris Thoughts

I love Paris, don’t get me wrong. It’s my favorite CET property. I love the rooms, I love the casino, I love the location, I love the pastries! However, it’s having some identity problems right now. CET needs to decide who they’re targeting and stick with it.

It’s like they want to be high end and younger - some signs point to that (room rates, higher end restaurants going in, table minimums). But some of the public areas are getting very worn &/or outdated. The casino bathrooms need a serious remodel.

It was actually difficult to find somewhere to watch MNF and not because it was crowded but because there’s no good viewing areas. Gustav’s bar should have been good but the tvs are small. The sports book is an absolute tragedy, especially compared to some of the remodeled books on the strip. Even Bally’s is better than Paris’s. It’s a horrible place to watch a game. And if you want a younger crowd, you gotta have a good sports bar.

So many restaurants are closed while being changed over to something new, there’s a definite lack of diverse dining right now. Everything is either pastries or café type. And I love pastries but not for every meal. I’d love to see a good Italian restaurant (I know Martorano’s was there but I never liked it) or seafood go in.

Few things that have always bothered me -
There just seems to be a ton of people with luggage milling around ALL THE TIME, especially bad around check out time. And they’re always in the way! It’s hard to sit at a table around noon when half the space is taken up by suitcases.

After Vanderpumps opens, I REALLY hope they do something different with the lobby bar. It is in the worst location and it makes the walkway so crowded.

Overall, still love it, would still stay there but I look forward to how it is with all the construction over.

Top Dollar at Ballys – Right outside the Jubilee theater entrance, in front of the high limit “balcony”. There’s 4. And then there’s a few of them in high limit.

B&M – Tommy was not behind the bar Tuesday night. We were having a good evening and I didn’t want to ruin it. So I’m going to just let it go. Unless I do ever see Tommy there, then I’ll think about it.

Flight – Zero issues, landed a little early, and only 1/3 full! Seriously, we each could have had our own row.

Now, glad to be home and cuddling with all the animals. House sitter seemed good but both our front and back doors were unlocked when we got home! So….we’re gonna text him tomorrow and ask about that!

Dan has a Vegas conference and he’s going out Sunday, 11/28 and I follow on Tuesday. We’re staying at ParkMGM and double booking a Bally’s suite at the end of the week. I plan on having Eataly pastries and coffee every day! That trip will be a lot of touristy stuff and walking! Not planning on gambling much until the end of the week.

So see you all in November!

More Gus! He’s happy we’re home. And another of our cats, Roger. They’re named after the astronauts Gus Grissom & Roger Chaffee

I've been mad at the Bird Bar area since they took the 'old' slots out along the wall - Geisha, Peacock, etc. Those were my favorites. I wish one of the CET casinos would have a vintage slot area (by vintage I guess I'm just looking around 20 years old?). In your pics it doesn't even look as if there are any slot machines along the wall, which is silly.

Thank you for the directions to the machines at Ballys. I'll maybe try a different one of the 4 each day.

Thanks so much for taking us along! We've been to B&M twice and loved the food each time, but service could have been slightly better. Those rolls are divine! Sorry about the bad gambling, but glad you had fun! Your pups & kitties are adorable!

In the high limit along the wall, there are 2 - $1 and 2 - $5/$10/$25/100 machines. There are also some quarters close to the Jubilee theater.

Did you vacuum pack on the way back too? If not, how did you fit everything in one bag?

We flew Southwest on the way back, so we get 2 free bags. I pack a small duffel bag in our suitcase on the way there and use that for dirty clothes on the way back. It's a good system if we're only flying Southwest on the way back!

All the old machines are gone! The walkway between actual Flamingo casino & BIrd Bar - completely empty! All the casinos are going more towards the video game looking ones rather than the real reels.

    Thanks for the report

Paris was our go to for years until we switched to Cosmo - the biggest reason for the switch was how bad the sports book was/is - hard to believe they have not corrected this

Still go by there - love MAG, like the crepes and the burger place in the walkway to Ballys - always give them some play but haven't stayed there in years

$23.00 for that? The question is why do people allow themselves to be scammed like that? Vegas has become a ripoff folks, in all aspects. Food prices, table game minimums, even in shitty hotels, resort fees, whoever pays them, and not to mention the mask mandates.. And it's only going to get worse. Is it really worth it to fly all the way there and get ripped off? I just drive to my local these days for a few days, which is Atlantic City. Much better there now, no masks, no airport and airline hassle, and the games are the same.
