Well, I had planned on grabbing a 3 night comp at Bellagio Monday the 17th -20th but living on Hilton Head Island (between Charleston & Savannah) it looks like Hurricane Florence may "bounce off the coast" when it hits & we're going to get some "action." I'm taking up on Delta's flight changes so I'm leaving Saturday morning instead (before Savannah & Atlanta airports shut down) Bellagio has switched my dates from Sunday to Tuesday but I'll need a Saturday night stay ~ didn't realize the 15th is a Fight Night & rates everywhere are naturally nuts!

Any suggestions? I've never used my Total Rewards card but it looks like they'll match my status for Mlife & I can get a room for about $100 at Rio (including those stupid resort fees). I just don't want to pay a bunch of $ simply because it's Fight Night. Any suggestions? I remember when the Rio wasn't too bad but I have a feeling it's gone downhill.

    Thanks!

While the Rio ain't what it used to be, it really isn't that bad. That is where we usually stay, with the last time being a few weeks ago. I would say that unless you end up finding a lower price elsewhere, under your circumstances the Rio would be just fine. My one complaint about the Rio is that the casino is usually pretty dead during the week (which is usually when we are there), but Saturday night the casino should be hopping! It is a much better atmosphere when the place is hopping!

If you have any specific questions about the Rio, feel free to ask!

I actually made a reservation for Harrah’s at $140. I then for the heck of it, emailed my host at The. Cosmo not expecting anything due to the Saturday Fight Nite prices & It really playing there much at all & she emailed me back to tell me I’m Comp’d for a terrace premium room! She’s the Best! Need to definitely play there! If anyone is looking for a Great Host, let me know!

Glad that worked out! We're supposed to fly out Sat as well and right now, SW has cancelled all flights leaving our airport (ORF) today and Friday.

I had no idea this was a fight weekend...boxing or UFC? MGM?

Not sure who’s fighting but it’s at the T mobile arena. Prices even downtown are a lot higher. I checked with some hotels & the closer to the weekend they were getting a lot higher. So far so good with Savannah Airport. Now I’m thinking about instead of leaving by 4am Saturday to possibly leaving for the airport Friday night & sleeping in my car because of interstate 95 traffic heading south to FL to escape. I may see you at WynnCore - need to say hey to my host there & some dealer friends. Good luck

Off-topic, but since you're from the area -- what happened to the Steamer Seafood in the HH area? A friend of mine lives in Beaufort and said that it had closed. The owner has another Steamer here at his alma mater and near his hometown that usually stays crazy busy. Just curious about what happened to his original location.

Hope luck treats your Vegas bankroll well and the weather treats your property in SC even better.

Yes, Steamers down across from the beach at Coligny Circle closed a little over a year ago. There was a rumor he was going to open near Shelter Cove where Kingfisher was but didn't. I still have alot of clients asking about it & missing it.
There's another one near it called Fish I'm hearing good things about
    Ask the best!
