    My Trip Report

Good day my fellow VMBers! I am back home and partially recovered from 6 nights in Vegas! I usually do a live trip report, this time I decided to take photos of big wins and share with you all after my trip. I hadn't realized in the past that the live trip report actually took a way from my trip.

We flew out from Tampa on Wednesday September 4th - The hurricane didn't hamper our flights, I did donate that morning to a fund to help the victims in the Bahamas. I will continue to donate money and time to help rebuild that beautiful area.

Landed in Vegas at 1:15pm, we rented a car to drive up to Red Rock. The shuttle over to the rental car facility actually took longer than the drive to Red Rock - We would have used our trusty cab driver (LVCabbie) but we had found out that he had quit the week prior! Made it to Red Rock for 2 free nights, $100 comp food and $100 free play offer. Our room was ready and had a great view of the Aviators ball field and the Golden Knights practice facility. We found out from the valet that the Golden Knights are actually staying at Red Rock for their conditioning practices (pre-season?) I am dumb to anything hockey and couldn't even name a player. My husband however knows many of them and was on the lookout every morning for one of them!
The views from Red Rock towards the strip was so great! I loved waking up to the sunrise!

We stayed at Red Rock for a few hours and had a few 4OAK’s and I had a decent win on .50¢ cleopatra keno. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Then we headed over to Suncoast. I wanted to eat at 90ninety only because I had heard good things!

My husband used to live in Summerlin so he loves to go to these casinos.

We drank all afternoon and on the plane so I was more than ready for water! We also realized we weren’t that hungry. So we shared a burger and fries. I give both 5 stars out of 5!

We Ubered over and back. Cost about $9 each time.

Got back to Res Rock around 2am. Long day and no big wins. Down about $1500.

On Thursday I was cursed with an eastern time wake up. Ugh. Up at 6am. Watched the sunrise and my husband wanted to take me to a local video poker bar that served breakfast. We went to PKWY Tavern Taphouse and grill at Tivoli Village. They own a few other locations as well as THE MINT tavern near downtown.
Cute little place and actually a really good breakfast! I won $200 on cleopatra keno too! My husband lost $200 on VP. It was interesting to play there. The bartender paid me on my TiTo. Only one other couple there.

We headed back to Red Rock and went to the pool. It was very hot (I know a dry heat) no, 103° is hot no matter where you are.
We stayed at the pool for a few hours and rehydrated and napped.

We haven’t been to Fremont in a few years so we got ready and drove downtown!

I'm looking forward to this report. I can't remember reading a Red Rock report before.

They sure have a beautiful pool. Nice pics!

You try any of the beer at the PWKY tavern, @Sheil813? Or was it too early for beer? Lol I have seen on Untappd that they had a ton of craft beer, but we totally ran out of time to go. Was good to see you again and look forward to reading the rest!

Drove downtown and parked at 4 Queens. We got there around 4pm. I was surprised at how crowded the whole area was! Walked through the casino to Fremont and down to the D. We had played at the D a few years ago and won and I had been seeing some good VP wins at the long bar. My husband wanted to bet the NFL game so we went upstairs to the Circa sports bar and saw Derek Stevens doing what looked like a radio interview.
Sat down at the long bar and played VP and Keno for the first half of the game. No wins at all. At half time we went and played 3 card and I started with $200 and walked away with $1000!! I had $20 on the pair plus and got 3 6’s!! I had many other great hands. Couldn’t lose! It was so much fun! I wanted to walk out and see more of Fremont so we headed down and I saw El Cortez! Again I had heard so much about it but never went in! I loved it in there. I mean you could tell it was mostly locals. My husband was playing Ultimate X and I went to play blackjack and I won $700 playing that! I started with $200 had $700 at one point gave my husband $200 and then cashed out at $700! It was a $5 table but I was playing $25 and pressing a lot.
I never win like that ever anywhere!
After El Cortez we headed back to the D to collect on the NFL game. And then headed back to red rock.
We played some more at red rock but just couldn’t get anything to stick.
    Headed to bed around midnight.

At home now and trying to reconstruct last week is hard! Has me second guessing doing the live report next time! We were going through our receipts and just found one for McDonalds on Fremont! Wtf? I know we were drinking pretty steady that night and I know I had to be drunk to eat McDonalds!!
    Anyways-

Friday morning! Again up too fricken early. We were checking out and heading to Cosmo!! But first, breakfast. The Buffett wasn’t open yet so we ate at the grand cafe. It was good, my husband had pancakes and I had eggs and hash browns. Standard breakfast fare, but it always taste better in Vegas!
When I rented the car I did it through Hertz with points and I selected to return it to the Cosmo. So much easier. Except we couldn’t find where to return it to! (B2, in case anyone needs to know!). Well we parked on B4 and left our luggage in the car and headed to the Autograph room to check in. It was around 10:20am. Yes that’s early but I had never had an issue before.
This day we had an issue - hotel was sold out on Thursday night (so many conventions and groups in town) so no fountain room views available yet. Ok fine we will wait. So we head to the chandelier bar and get a cocktail (my usual raspberry lemon drop!) and we play VP for a bit there. No big hits so we walk over to play outside the high limit room. I have had success there before.
Now it was my husbands turn!
Dealt! That was so cool. Of course he asked why he wasn’t playing more hands!!
So he played until no more multipliers on 3 hands and switched to 5 and bam!
Handpay! 1st one of the trip on day 3 at 1:14pm! Now we are almost even for the trip.

We played for awhile there then went back to chandelier bar so I could get another drink and he went to ask if our room was ready yet.
Room is still not ready and we were suppose to turn rental car in by 1. Ugh.
So we continue playing and drinking and not getting anything too big.
A few small hits and then the beloved 4 to a royal dealt!
    Small hit
    [IMG]
My small keno hit. (One more number and it could’ve been yuge!)
    Then ugh ..
Oh I see it. The one royal flush and I was excited for it! Really! But dang it! I wanted all of them. Too greedy? Ok I will dial it back and be happy for that one...

Still no room, I’m drunk and I forgot I have to check my brother into the free room I booked him at Bally’s! Shit.

So we go move the car to where it is suppose to be, take luggage to bellman and at 5:30 I head over to Bally’s I have 2 rooms there for my brother and his SIL. Get them checked in and names added to the rooms and I play my free play at the Lobby bar where a guy is playing the piano so very loud I could barely stand it!

My husband texts that the room is ready but the key didn’t work and we have a comedy show to be at in an hour! I start hauling ass back to Cosmo and get to the room at 7:30 (ok so I stayed at Bally’s longer than I thought!) time flies and all...

Bags didn’t get to the room until 8 and we get ready in record time and head to the Chelsea to see Bill Burr (tix compliments of our host).

Great show and the openers were funny too. I was so tired though after drinking all day and getting up so early. I went straight to the room and was asleep by 10:30!

My husband came up shortly after. No other wins on Friday night.

I am sure I'd forget so many things if I tried to recreate a trip later!

Frustrating you couldn't get a room, but sounds like it all worked out! Hope the rest of the trip was fun!

Day 4 Saturday! This is almost always my pool, drink too much and pass out too early day! BUT I had Bruno Mars tickets and couldn’t do the pass out too early thing! So we got to the pool around 8:45am and got 2 chairs near the water. Alcohol started flowing by 10am and we met everyone around us and had a great day rooting for our college football teams. Well except.. my husband is a Buckeye fan through and through. For some reason he bet the under or something like that. He won a few others but was unhappy with himself for doubting the Buckeyes.
Stayed at the pool until 2:30 and I made my way up to the room for a nap. My husband showered and went back down to play and watch the other games he bet.
I woke up and headed down to the Drybar for my appt at 4:30.
    I love the chandelier here.

Ended up ordering a classic cosmopolitan.

Hair done and I headed to Bally’s to meet my brother and team to head out to Best Friend at ParkMgM for dinner before the show.
My husband is not a Bruno Mars fan so he stayed at Cosmo and did this while we were at dinner
2nd handpay! - my phone autocorrects handpay to handbag. Subliminal I think!

Best friend was great! We did not have reservations and still got s table for 6 of us right away! We ordered way too much food and it was sooo good! BBQ chicken, spicy pork, bbq shrimp, prime rib, and white rice and fried rice! We ordered cocktails but they took a while so they gave us each a free shot of Korean vodka. I forgot to take photos before we ate everything! It was served family style and for 6 of us we ordered too much!
    [IMG][IMG]

I loved the atmosphere and I will go back for the chicken and shrimp. I didn’t even try the spicy pork because the Asians I was with said it was really spicy!

Off to Bruno Mars which was about 30 steps away from the restaurant!

At the concert they made us put our phones in a bag that were magnetically locked so it was kind of nice that we didn’t have phones in our faces videoing the show. Bruno was good. Not $488 good though. Britney Spears and Jlo were better. More entertaining.

After Bruno we took the tram back and I got off at Crystals and was back at Cosmo in no time!
One crazy thing that happened to me at ParkMgm. I have a friend who lives in Vegas we haven’t been able to make our schedules work out to meet up. I was in the bathroom in the convention center and I hear my name and bam! There she is! Her and her husband were hunting Pokémon! She knew I was going to the concert but didn’t think she would see me. Parkmgm was packed that night!

Back at Cosmo I gambled around with my husband. I finally got him to play some slots! We played wonder4 Buffalo gold, cleopatra, and a lot of the fao di lua (sp) and 88 coin slots, lightening link and lock it link! No major wins but also no losses! We had so much fun and earned a shit ton of identity points and free play! Off to bed around 2:30am have to be ready for NFL Sunday!

Loved everything about your report! I have to agree about trying “live” reports, I prefer to summarize the trip at the end, although it’s nice to have people following along and offering suggestions and encouragement. Either way, I always follow along! Thanks.

    People still hunt Pokemon?

I thought that fad died in 2016 or so...

Or is there a Pokemon slot they were looking for?
