I play for about 30 minutes a day. Some days are better than others.

Like today for instance. I levelled up twice (4k lps)+ 2k (for the xps that I went through)+ 1k (in gold from the strip). 7k in one day.

Yesterday was over 3k in lp.

    That's about the average. 5k a day.

Don't ask me how because I couldn't give you the answer.

Wow. Im at level 180 or so and I dont even come close to 5k lp a day. I try to hit the properties twice a day and spin every day. Maxed on friends. Do you play your red chips every day?

I gift my 2 only friends but still have a good amount more than you. You likely over bet or didn't play/collect enough in the "good ol' days". Until these past few days, I hardly earned anything as of late, just tried to remember to collect properties.

I was below 212 2 days ago (maybe 210 or so, now I am 239). Started in Nov. 2012.

    Redeemed:
    May 2013: Mirage 2 nights 100k; Love 2 Prem. Tix 168k
    Sept. 2013: Mirage 1 night 52.5k, MGM 1 night 47.5k, 1 Ka Premium 78k
    Feb. 2014: Mirage 1 night 52.5k, MC 1 night 30k, 1 Zarkana Premium 78k

    Current balance: 300k LP

    Total earned: 906.5k

I finally overbet significantly for the first time 2 days ago. Blackjack when double LP on level ups existed. Earned about 60k in level ups there since they were double.

Seeing Aria in your countdown clock though. Hopefully myVegas is covering that. :evillaugh

Do you have an easy (easier) way to scroll through friends and cull the ones that aren't playing anymore?

This. Plus how much do most of those rewards actually cost MGM? Basically nothing for the rooms (since the resort fee covers most of the hotel's cost), $5-$10 for a buffet (if that), 10% of retail cost for anything booze related, etc. I think it will go on for a long time as it really benefits MGM by:

    1. Keeping their properties in front of users EVERY single day.
    2. Gets people into their properties to redeem and use rewards.
    3. As mentioned, they get tons of demographic and marketing information.
    4. They get people to buy chips which probably covers any cost of their rewards.

I'd venture to guess this game is +EV for MGM. A lot.

Yes I play them all out. I am usually bankrupt.

I am only at level 350.

I have minimum number of friends. I just keep them around to max out the daily spin.

    4 or 5 times a month I get gold.

I get at least 500-1000 gold on the strip each day (wish it were real).

    I level up.

That's the best that I can tell you. Like I said earlier. I don't know how. My best guess is that the friend thing is overrated. I have "friend" who started after me. She too has minimal friends but she is at level 650.

    Hope that helps.

I'm seeing that, originally people are using the rewards for rooms but eating and gambling elsewhere. They are already planning the second visit to Vegas.

The second time around. They use the free buffets and shows as their rooms are comped elsewhere. Smart thinking. The second time is actually cheaper than the first.

We thought about it but MGM and MLife treat us extremely well. We return the favor and gamble exclusively at their properties. But not many like us.

I'm currently just under 500K LP's. I may, or may not, play everyday but I do collect daily. My biggest boost came on betrock, spinning for 60K...hit for 15 million on the bonus. I redeemed last year for $75 credit at The Steakhouse, Gallaghers, and the Bellagio buffet...haven't redeemed anything this year yet and will be there in 5 weeks? My rooms are comped at CET and I don't really care for the 2 for 1's I keep hoping that some better rewards will come up, even if for a future trip later this year. I would like to use my LP's and be done with the game, but I don't want to just use them on something I wouldn't enjoy either. good luck everyone....

I've grinded away for a while on MyVegas...slowly built my chips up to 8.5 million simply by playing only the blackjack tables.

Now, I can afford to play 3 spots at $50K each. Earns LP points a lot faster than I used to...just grabbed a free weeknight at the Luxor and am building up my LP stack (now around 180K) to grab a monorail pass and other goodies for my trip in July.

I played it when it first came out, when the rewards were actually a 'good value.' (Best reward I redeemed was the $150 Circus-Circus steakhouse voucher.) But with the ever-increasing reward 'prices,' and the realization of just how much time is spent on the game (someone on another site did a detailed calculation of time spent vs. values of rewards, and the result was scary), plus the ever-present spam from 'fb friends,' I stopped months ago. People get excited when they see 'free,' but I don't think they realize just how much time is being spent getting it.

I find that free rooms in Vegas are rather easy to come by (and I'm no High Roller), and I'd rather pay for my food than spend hours upon hours playing for it.

    Just my opinion.

I just wanted to chime in on this real quick. I believe that although things are given away for free, they will be making a lot of money in the long run. I'm perfect example. I received 2 free nights and a buffet at Mirage, but I paid in full for 2 extra nights and will have to pay the resort fees as well. Along with that, I can guarantee you that I will be spending money in the casino and at their restaurants for food and drinks. And of course I will be buying overpriced alcohol from their bars. Thank you MyVegas for the 2 free nights and the buffet. And your welcome for all the money I will be giving back when I'm there:wave:

I would venture the friends they refer to are friends who aren't real friends but just people who belong to a fan group (there are lots of those for every game, not just MyVegas) and to get rid of those people you just need to unfriend them (go to their profile and find the FRIENDS dropdown at the top. Select that and pick UNFRIEND at the bottom of the list).

I understand there is time spent on playing the game. A lot of people play some sort of online slot game that offers zero rewards. Many enjoy playing the MyVegas games as well, but actually get something out of it. If it is a waste of time, don't play the game. Imagine how much you would actually have to play (and pay) if you were at the casino and tried to get the same things comped based on your play?

Yes it does seem like you have to play a long time to build LP's and the rewards are not "what they used to be", but 4 free nights @ Aria plus a couple of buffets or shows for DW and me. I love MyVegas. We would never had the opportunity to stay @ Aria if not for it and they will make $$ from stay as we too will buy food and gamble there.
