How long will the TR credits be available? I have a few thousand credits showing on the website when i log in. I am going to Vegas in August and plan to use the RC to pay off my resort fees.
I know SR isn't around now but will i still be able to cash them in at checkout?
I redeemed what i had up until the last day in March, so when i go in August it will still be under 6 months. Correct?

6 months for TR. And your expiring date should be on TR site. Of course you can cash in if you transferred your SR to TR before they closed

Thanks eaglejohn. My expiration date says May 10th, but i have RW credits i gathered with SR in March which is now on my TR acct. Why wouldn't my RW expire 6 months from March?
Are they not counting the rewards i received from SR?
If that's the case i may buy the lowest virtual coin amount on Facebook just to keep my account active because i have lots and lots of reward credits that i plan on using in Vegas in August.

Update: Does anyone know if you book a CET Hotel (which i did last week), do your rewards credits extend 6 months even though it's comped?
The expiration date is in May, but just below that it says "may not reflect recent activity".
    Will that be updated?

They should expire in September, as that's what my date got moved to after the SR deposit. As to the room, you won't get any points until you actually pay for the resort fees or taxes, and even then it takes a few days for them to deposit. I would contact them if it continues to reflect the May date.

Thanks Harry, that's what i'm hoping for. I'll wait till the end of April and see if it changes on the website, if not i'll call.

Total Rewards Marketplace is still out there on their website. Wal-mart has a link on there for 2 RC's per $1 spent. eBay has 1 RC per $1. Lots of other retailers out there if you shop online at all. It would be a good way to keep your account active. If it's like other shopping links (Sunshine Rewards, AA, SW & Delta) you need to plan for 4 weeks to receive your RCs. My mom has $82 and my daughter has $121. It will likely be the only way to keep them active. My daughter can't locate her card so I can't run it for her. Mom still has a card so I could take that if I get to Vegas this summer. (I forgot to use hers last week - DUH. But it would have only bumped it out one month).

I just recently signed up for Total Rewards Dining, a program that gives you RCs for registering a credit/debit card (can be multiple cards, actually) and using it at specific restaurants. There are enough participating locations in my town that it's a pretty easy way to keep my account active without going out of my way.

And while we're on the subject, if you're in the AC/Philly or Memphis areas you can utilize the TR Locally program. Separate and different from TR Dining, you simply present your TR card and they swipe/enter your number and you earn RCs. Get extra lucky and have a merchant be signed up for both.

I would love to have a TR dining close to me. The problems with living in a rural area.

There are restaurants near me that participate in TR dining, but it's really not any that I like going to. Luckily, I have the TR visa, so I never really have to worry about credits expiring, but my bigger worry is how the BK will affect the TR program. I'm sitting at $430 in credits right now, but will be using the bulk of them on my June trip just in case they decide to change the system and I end up on the losing end of the deal. It happened to my MIL when the IP went under in Biloxi and she had almost $20K (High Roller unlike me) and lost it all after they shuddered. Not that my $420 would be that big a deal in comparison, but it's nice to have "free" money to spend in Vegas so I don't feel bad about those $75 pp lunches I indulge in when there.

I use TR dining. You don't have to go for a full meal. I go to the local Burger King (participating) and charge a small fry once every 6 months. That does the trick.

    Thanks guys.
I got an e-mail from TR saying that even though my Hotel is already booked, i won't get the points until i check out in August.
I have a dining place close to me in Manhattan Beach that is on the TR list ( I go there a lot but never knew it was on that list because i don't normally use dining, shopping etc. to gather points), my rewards points would come from SR.

But i have a question...........if i go this Monday (24th) and use my cards (CC+TR), how long does it take to process to my acct. knowing that the deadline is May 10th?
Is there a difference between dining in Vegas compared to dining in California as far as the timing?
Also, do i still have to use my CC since it's not an online purchase?

Looks like you need to register a CC with your TR dining account and use that card to pay for the meal. I logged in through my TR account, then was asked for an email address and my zip code, then to link a card (I linked my TR Visa since it gives an additional 1 point per $1 on top of the 2:1 from TR dining), then I was given the option to search dining options around me. Painless. Looks like you can add another card if you want. [IMG][IMG]

    Probably after your monthly statement.

Thanks james, it looks like i'll be too late since my rewards credits expire in 15 days. It says it could take up to 45 days and even if it appears on my next monthly statement that will also be too late since my next monthly statement won't be until June.
    Oh well, thanks.

depending on what you have for credits, I would call them & see why your date isn't updating. I don't know that I would wait until after end of April. I'd just buy the smallest amount of chips to keep points active if they can't fix the expiration date for you.

I tried buying the chips but you have to live in New Jersey, i'm in California. I didn't know that Caesars Casino was only for New Jersey. I talked to a person at TR and the only way i could get the rewards points in my situation is by getting a Visa TR card, which only takes 3-5 days to post to my TR acct. That's not going to happen, my choice.
I used to get all my points through SR, but that ended in March.
And like i said before, even though i booked online using a CC, my Hotel (LinQ) is for August and the rewards points won't happen until i check out.

I was referring to the games on FB. The credits for those chip purchases should be nationwide. Have seen others extend their credits that way. There is still something wrong if your credit from SR was in March and the date did not extend. Your other option since you have your August room booked already it's too quickly mail your card to someone else who is going to Vegas and would be willing to run a couple bucks through for you. Since you have your trip booked it wouldn't screw up your average daily theo in regards to that. Or as I suggested use the marketplace and order something from Walmart to be sent to you that you need anyway

I can't believe i was so stupid not to buy chips on Facebook. I play the games every day for free. They send me e-mails every day.....LOL. I was trying to purchase coins at Caesars Casino and the TR Marketplace.
So i did purchase some credits and i played for a couple of hours. Not sure when the rewards credits appear on my acct. but what the heck, at least it's possible within May 10th.
    Thank you.
