We are staying at PH and will be renting a car.
I vaguely recall a thread commenting on minimal available parking at PH.
Should I be concerned about available parking?
Is valet parking used for short durations or can you use it for overnight parking?

When my buddy and I rented a car for a Vegas trip a couple years ago, we used valet parking (free) at everywhere we went. They did not have a time limit or anything. So instead of looking for parking, we just used the valet. Hope this helps.

Valet at PH is slow, slow, slow . Drop off is fine but don't be in a rush to retrieve your car.

Enter the PH on Harmon. You can then choose to valet at Planet Hollywood or the Miracle Mile shops.

Totally agree with Snidely - when my friend is there with
his car - we have parked there many times. Easy peasy dropping
off at valet - but really takes quite awhile - more than any other Vegas
property we have ever parked at - to get your car back. If you have time
to spare - no problem - but don't count on it if you are going somewhere on
    a schedule.

ok, so what is "a while".
The rental is only for 24 hours.
More than likely we will drop the car off at night and be heading out around 4am.
I assume that at that time it should be a fairly quick process if using the valet.

Why are you renting a car if it's only 24 hours?

Rented a car in February and self-parked at PH. We went out a couple of times during our 3 day stay and never had a problem parking in the garage. It's a bit of a walk from car to casino through the mall so that might be a reason to valet but availability wasn't an issue that I experienced.

I have to agree about the self parking. I've never had a problem finding a parking spot; always been plenty of empty spots; although I have always parked there during the week...can't vouch for availability on the weekends. My big problem is the long walk from the self parking area to actually getting to the casino....pack a lunch...it's a hike.

The last time "a while" was over 45 minutes. It was around midnight on
a Friday night. 4 AM might certainly be a better time than that. It was a busy
night. Lucky for us it was pretty outside - not cold - so other than being really
tired from running around all day and playing - it didn't put us out much. I just
had never had a Caesar's property take that long. Thought I would mention it in case
you were getting the car to go to something you had scheduled.

We never had a problem parking in the parking lot. If you go through Elara entrance, it's actually a little closer to the casino than walking through the mall. The one time we valet parked, I even had time to go back to the room to get something before the car got there.
