Though Aria is technically a Strip casino resort, it's set back from LV Blvd about 500 feet on City Center Place (the main entry). To get to The Strip you simply walk out of Aria heading East on that main entry road's sidewalks. You can't miss The Strip - it's clearly visible from the main entry.

The tram is accessible on Aria's South side and on Vdara's North side.

    Dear Golfer:

You would be better served to use a more descriptive subject line in your posts.

    Agreed.

I've never found the tram useful to/from Aria. Perhaps using the tram between Bellagio and Monte Carlo or Monte Carlo and Crystals... but since there's really no stop for Aria, anywhere you'd want to go to/from Aria, you're almost better off walking.

There's hardly ever a need to walk down to the strip from the Aria unless you're going to a shop along the strip in front of Crystals or the Mandarin.

If you're walking to Cosmo or across the strip to PHo... use the lobby exit and go through Crystals toward the left side. One you exit Crystals, it's left to Cosmo and Pho is across the foot bridge.

If you're walking to Monte Carlo, go out toward the South Valet, up the escalator, and through the underground passage to Monte Carlo.

If you're walking to the Mandarin, go out of the South Valet entrance and walk down toward the Mandarin.

If you're walking to Vdara/Bellagio, go out of the North Valet and walk around traffic circle. Once inside the Vdara (if heading to the Bellagio) walk straight through the property on the ramp between the convenience store and the Starbucks.

Depending on the weather and your destination, there are multiple ways.
You can walk through Monte Carlo when you are heading south on the Strip. It is not the most direct but avoids extreme heat or cold.
When going North you can walk directly across to VDara and straight through which takes you by the tram station and directly into Bellagio's Spa Tower.
Before walking into VDara, there is a stairway and elevator that takes you to ground level and you can walk through Cosmo.

Since the tram stations are actually located closer to Monte Carlo,Crystals, and Bellagio,I have always found it faster to walk.

To any/all who might read the above and be confused or think undathesea's descriptions/directions are confusing - they are not!!! They are totally spot on. The first few times getting around or through Aria and CC are confusing but after doing it three or five times it all makes sense and isn't that bad, as described.
