I was at Luxor from 3/4-3/9.... for this time of year the crowds were pretty normal. No tell tale signs of anything like this virus going on....

I am flying out tomorrow. Can't live your life in fear is my motto. I will post some updates as I see them. However, I am not staying or planning on going the strip. I will be at the Orleans followed by a few nights at The D. I have packed plenty of individually wrapped Wet Ones antibacterial, which I travel with ANYWAY. Also, some disposable gloves. I have been ramping up on the Emergen-C and AirBorne and will be bringing that with, as I always do.

Stay tuned for what I hope will be a semi-live TR (on a new thread) :D

    Good morning VMB
Well I’m here!! Lol, arrived yesterday .. so far it seem slow pace... I definitely see less people.
I do see lot more cleaning I believe.. but there was news that person was confirmed case (from mirage) which does make me very nervous. I’m just being little cautious about everything. Been washing hand like crazy.

I was there last weekend. Unfortunately, it was completely dead. As dead as I’ve seen since the financial crash. McCarran was a ghost town.

I was impressed with the steps Wynn was taking to mitigate risks, though. Hand sanitizer was everywhere. Cleaning crews were constantly wiping down machines, tables, restrooms and other high traffic areas.

I am still planning on going on 3/31. Only difference is I may rent a car instead of UBER/Cab...Rental rates are cheap.

I really hope this thread doesn’t have to get shut down. We have a trip planned in two weeks and I’m so glad to read others first hand experiences with Vegas in general. Thanks to those who are taking the time to provide their observations and thanks to everyone who is staying respectful of the guidelines so that this may continue

And edited/removed another handful of posts. Please, VMB. Help me out here. Be better.

Cornonavirus is not hype or a conspiracy. And btw, death is not something to joke about.

Don't know if this is appropriate here, but I know many of us are cruisers. Both Viking and Princess have temporarily halted all cruises.

The no handshaking needs to go away. I’m a limo driver, most of my passengers understand no handshaking. But some of my colleagues, especially at airport pickups, where there’s usually 10 or more of us, there’s always that one guy that insists on shaking everyone’s hand. I don’t like to be rude, if I don’t the idiot might think I think he’s got the virus. I just keep hand sanitizer in my pocket. This new to me driver did this 2 weeks ago.

I know a person who is attending a convention in Vegas right now. He is doing his best to avoid everything. It seems like he may be in panic mode and is taking extreme caution. He says from what he can tell in his limited time outside of his room or convention that there isn't very many people out and about as he would expect under normal times.

The casinos are not dead but there is a noticeable decline. All the employees I have talked to have noticed a decline and even as a customer you can see it. I work retail and sales are down quite a bit.

It’s sad that some here can’t act like adults. They need to go on Twitter of Facebook with conspiracy’s etc.

I can’t see why it’s not acceptable to post facts. Some here that are cruisers would like that info.

I sent a text to two downtown bartenders. One hasn't noticed much change in the number of customers, the other said it seemed a bit slow for the basketball season.

Im still going to wipe down the slots I play. As a germaphobe, that’s something I never actually did, figured I’ll just wash my hands after playing. But I’m really going to be cautious on my trip next week. Not paranoid, just cautious.
