I landed in Vegas May 17 and have been on a road trip until I get back there on the 26th.

Stayed at the Hotel Nevada last night. Really nice small town hotel and casino.
Rate was $66 total. Nice long bar with video poker. About 50-60+ slots. And
a Denny's Restaurant just opened up inside. Check out my room:

I ate across the street last night at the Cell Block Steakhouse. They were very busy.
Check out my Facebook album of my meal.

Did you ask for the casino rate? We haven't stayed there in several years but it's an iconic adventure to say the least. Love all the memorabilia..

I'm glad you got up there... Ely (White Pine County) is a great part of Nevada and definitely off the "beaten path". The economy hasn't always been kind out there, but the people are friendly and resilient. The Ely State Prison, now the state's MAX prison, is the area's largest employer and there's still some neat gaming/restaurant joints around, but since mining pulled out, the area struggles.
