We all have hotel casinos we rush to but are there any you intentionally avoid? I enjoy, among others on the Strip and Downtown, Cosmo and Venetian but I won't drop a dime in the Paris. To me, that place is gloomy and depressing.
Also, does anyone ever play at the Tropicana? I never read anything about that place.

Tropicana, Excalibur and Park. They just don't offer enough for me to put up with their lousy game rules.

I really don't like the Flamingo at all. I have stayed there before but will not again. It just feels too crowded at the machines and too many old machines. Also really didn't feel safe late at night going to my room.
In second place would be the Ling--to me the casino floor is just too chopped up.

Definitely avoid Caesars Palace. Place is too recessed from the Strip and I always feel lost in there.

    These others to lesser extent:

Mandalay Bay. Too far, floor is boring. Employees can kiss my ass.

Paris. Used to love this place before linq upped the craft beer game after they remodeled. Now there isn't much to make me want to play there except maybe when I want a strawberry daiquiri. Their cashout machines need to be desperately replaced, more so than any of the CET properties.

Bally's. Love the hotel. Hate the casino. I'd probably play at Lobby bar though.

TI. Dark and depressing. I'd play at the golden circle bar though.

Wynn used to be on this list until the slot app gave us free rooms. Im not a fan of the slot floor though, but the hotel is amazing.

As for trop, I really am not a fan, but will pop in on occasion. But never play heavily there. I dunno if anyone on the forum does. Lol

I usually avoid Harrahs unless I am setting out to play at every casino on the Strip. I cannot win here.

    Palazzo.

I also avoid the gambling area of Linq. I have great memories of the dark, smoky IP atmosphere, and don't want to ruin that.

I do like the new ReMatch bar out front, however.

The Venetian casino. Overall, I like the rest of the resort, but the casino floor just feels clausterphobic

I can’t go into Venetian. The smell is overwhelming.

Most everything downtown. Flamingo, Harrah's, CC, Excal. We stay and play at both but not a fan of the big rectangle effect of SouthPoint and Suncoast.

    My list:
    • Ellis Island - has great food choices, but gambling feels like I'm playing at an Applebees.
    • El Cortez - is just dingy and and smelly. The vibe in there creeps me out.
    • Circus Circus - I haven't been there since June 2012, and there is a reason why.
    • Tropicana - It's just always empty, like I've never seen anything crowed in there. A positive, I was randomly provided a comped room once, it was was really nice.

Probably the only place I intentionally avoid is Circus Circus. Went there once, had lunch at Rock'N'Ritas(had a Groupon), got the WIN cards and played some blackjack, and then got the heck out of there!

Flamingo - feels run down and dirty
    Excalibur - same reason
Circus Circus - went once on my first trip in 82 and never felt a desire to return
    TI - dark and dreary
I rarely venture downtown, just prefer the glitz and glamour of the strip

Mandalay Bay/Delano - Casino isn't nearly exciting enough to overcome the feeling of absolute South End of The Strip isolation.

Monte Carlo/Park/NYNY - never saw the attraction to those properties.Found NYNY dirty as hell last time we were there.

The Luxor - really cool in 1995, but since they totally de-themed the interior, it's fucking weird and kinda pointless...I know hypocritical in a sense, but to each their own...

Golden Nugget - used to me my go to when i was in my downtown days, but since Fremont is now officially a sewer of no talent buskers, bums, freaks, and junkies, and the employees at GN are cockwads, they get a thumbs down.
